Bike won't start, was fine one day and not firing up the next. Breakdown guy said the plugs aren't firing and I can hear the fuel pump so that seems fine. He said compression 'sounds' fine (not sure how you hear it) and he suggests the coils may have blown but I think otherwise since there are 4 rather than a 'pack'. Battery fully charged, immobiliser disarms and the starter is turning but no firing.

I did start it the other day and cut it off again quite quickly (forgot phone so had to run back in to the house) so I think that may have had something to do with it. Would that cause the plugs to get wet?

I've tried starting with the throttle wide open as suggested on here but no joy. Is there any way I can try and get her started without prying her open for new plugs etc?! An old scrambler I had I could kick the cylinder clear by shutting off the fuel and it'd start afterwards, can I try starting with the kill switch off to do this on the CBR is will it not work?

What year bike is it?

You can pull the plugs and have a look at them, you will soon find out if they are wet.

Also to check for a spark plug the coil in and put a plug in it, the hold the thread on the plug against the block and turn her over, if it sparks you should be all good (no guarantee as the higher pressure in the cylinder can stop it from firing).
