i think 1.75" is the size of choice.... but thats all I know. you guys have some serious balls just drilling holes in your baby!
I know ya'll dont like it over there but hit up cbr600rr.com. Jef the guy who owns it put YoYos on his bike and he has a very nice write up on how to go about doing it.

My personal advice would be, get some playdo put that on the plastics where you think it is going to hit. Remount the plastics you could bolt it all back together (make sure the bolt sticks out a bit so it can hit the playdo). Take a hand drill, put a small hole in it from the engine side of the plastics. Tape up the outside of the plastics so you dont chip (masking tape worked fine). Then whole saw it from the outside. Remember you can always make the hole bigger. I have photos in my gallary of what I did. I am thinking of making the holes a bit larger though.

LonelyRR,
I used a 2" hole saw. I'm sure a 1.75" would have sufficed, but the 2" gives room for error. The 2" sounds a little big, but the mushroom cap covers the hole anyway, so you cant see it really. I also did a 2" because eventually I want to put Intuitives on and they require a 2".
i did exactly as crash described with a 2" holesaw.
I have pics of mine in my PG, same opinion the holes need to be bigger in case of a crash to alllow the plastic to move around without breaking. No use saving the finish if its split in two.
Get some play dough put it on the inside of the fairing. Unbolt the engine mount, insert the bolts came with the yoyodyne, not all the way and make an impression on the play dough. Then drill it from inside out, 1.75 or 2 will both work. You will need dremil tool to finish it off. All else fails, like my buddy did, make sure the holes are symetrical, so that at least it does not look too bad. Or fork over some money and have it done in the shop. They do that all day long. I would not use Sato racing sliders, the bolts they used to secure the slider onto the engine mount bolts are weak, very easy to snap. I snapped it with the weaker hand. Just my $.02.

I don't think you'll be able to switch over to intuitives because one of the sliders is on an offset bracket which would place the hole an inch or two over :(

GA_RR,
I see. Thanks. Could easily sell the one fairing and buy another in eBay though.
Who sells the Yoyo's for the cheapest $ ? I couldn't find them on Ebay.
