painting vs. plasti-white aftermarket fairings

Have an 03 600rr with the 05 White "honda racing" aftermarket fairings. I love the look of the white, but over the past 2 years I've gotten a ton of scratches and knicks in the white paint.

I have no cracks or anything in the fairings, and want to go back to white, but don't know what the best option/price would be. I haven't seen a white plasti-dipped bike, has anyone done that? I could also send them out and have them painted back to white, What do you guys think?

thanks for the help. Looking through the search it looks like i'll be able to get away with doing a clean white plasti-dip job.

Just buy my fairings, and with the extra paint I'm including, you'd be all set, and not have PD'd fairings.

White plasti dip is incredibly hard to keep clean. Any solvent will melt the dip and if it dries with dirt/grime on it, it's stained. For lighter colors, I'd go with paint and a good clear coat, but for darker colors plasti dip works well. I just recently dipped my wheels white and the back one is grey now. When I cleaned the chain, all the grime dripped onto my wheel and the kerosene melted the dip and stained it badly. The front one is still clean as a whistle but for some reason my rear pads produce more brake dust and just covered the wheel. If I dipped my wheels black or another dark color, it wouldn't be noticeable. But I want white wheels so... Looks like I'm going to have to get them powder coated.

yea, I've dipped a car before in black so I would agree that darker colors are better for dip. The bike is already white which I like so i think I'm going to try Dip first with a ton of clear coats to try and protect the dip.
