If you rotate the rad hose and route the smaller coolant hose behind it the shift rod Dosent rub when you do this mod
No need for anything else

Correct.
I went to GP shift years ago and haven't looked back since. It mostly helps track riders as we find ourselves shifting while leaned but I suppose it could work on the street too.

Nice vid(s)!

i know this is an old thread but figured id put my .02 in for any one else who found this thread like i did, i didn't like the idea of using zip ties either, i tried to glue another peace of hose over the existing hose to protect it, also tried plastic but still wasn't satisfied, then i figured maybe if i simply loosen the coolant hose clamps (top and bottom of hose) up a bit and twist the hose away from the shift rod it would get enough clearance, well for my bike specifically it worked, its TIGHT but it doesn't rub at all, been riding like this for about 3 months and still good, hope this helps some one else
