Puffin - you've got good eyes! A big shout-out to Stew, the board admin, for giving us a meeting point!

ALL SOUTH-AFRICANS,

please just post once to make yourself known (if you want to) so we can find out who's from where and organise some get togethers!! Who knows, maybe some of us already know or have met each other...

I am from Polokwane. We have the coolest breakfast run to Tzaneen every Sunday Morning.
We meet at the McDonalds on the Tzaneen road at 8.30 am every Sunday.
We leave at 9am to Tzaneen, through the rain forest with excellent twistys and spectacular views of the entire valley. The ride through the canopy of trees is just awesome. We pass the Tzaneen dam and Ebenezer Dam and we stop at the Tzaneen Sasol Garage where we have breakfast . On our way back, we take another route called George's valley which is not as tight as the Magoebaskloof road. All in all , it is a good morning and we are all home for lunch. you are all welcome anytime...

Welcome. Ended up buying the bobbins from a dealership for R100. Not bad.. except i didnt tighten the one properly and lost it on a ride. oh well. Bought the paddock stand directly from Nodico. It wasnt a bad buy. Same one as you find in the shops. Was a bit cheaper but after paying for delivery worked out to about the same.

Kyalami on the complementary "honda adventure academy" track day, ala: Michellin superbike school at Kyalami racetrack once a month.

R1000 all inclusive of fuel if you ever want to go and well worth it.

I saw a thing at Phakisa the other day which was rougly R900 in Welkom for the entire weekend and you get to camp out at the pits.

Either way, you seem like someone wanting to ride to harties on the weekend starting from Silverstar casino.... Let me know if you are keen, I have a fried who just bought a 08 CBR 1000 keen for a ride...

hehe funny story about that.. i wiped out at phakisa about a year and a half ago! wrote my poor bike off.. was ugly :-(

i've been back to the track but only as a spectator. havent sucked up the courage to get back onto the track. really keen on it though.

the phakisa weekend trip is pretty cool if you have some good company.

i weekend ride sounds about right. just need to sort out my paperwork.. learners has expired. gotta write that garbage again soon

Cool

Well, since I discovered putting km's on my CBR is no problem since some of the okes in the states are hitting hundreds of thousands of miles without issues I am keener than ever to ride as much as possible, so when you are ready let me know.
