Gauteng riders

Hi,

If you're keen on going for a drive, just for the hell of it, let's get a group going...

I do runs most weekends, so anyone's more than welcome for a run to Hartees or Eastern Transvaal or whatever interests you.

Hoe lyk it

Hey

Whats UPPP!

Ja im keen, ride most weekends and occasional track days, would be cool to get like a local track day group going? Maybe we could even get enough interest to start our own league or something?

Anyone here know where i can get a race filter from? I checked in with the Honda dealer here in Kyalami and they wanted R1500 for a BMC said i they dont really get anything else in. Seems a bit ridiculous for an air filter if you ask me.
Is it just me is EVERYTHING getting KAK expensive here!?!?

The BMC is exspensive, but remember it's washable. You can try get one from Full Throttle or Mosskays. I got mine originally from Honda. I know when I got mine a couple of months back there was a big shortage on the BMCs but it's well worth getting it. I nearly went for a standard Honda issue, but it would have worked out five times for exspensive in the long run.

I wish...haven't been on a run in nearly six months. Lost my bike, so waiting on a new one.

Any of you heard about the breakfast run league, picked up the new superbike mag with a short article on it. Apparently if you in the A group at sabiking (www.sabiking.co.za) you can enter to race in the breakfast run league. Its like a league of guys that arent pro but want to race so basically whatever level you are youll be sticking it out with a few riders that are the same level as you.
Im super keen to enter so if anyone knows anything then please help a brother out.

thanks this is exactly what i was looking for. i wont be able to ride track days myself for quite some time as im not willing to use my commuter cbr for that. ill wait till im able to upgrade to something newer and then use the current bike for the track.

in the short term im just looking to get a day out with the family WHILE seeing lots and lots of bikes going fast. 2 flies, one stone ;-)

Yo yo,

Doesn't seem to be many South Africans here, but I rate we need to make a plan sometime. You guys know of any runs here in PTA? I'm really amped for a good drive, in a large or small group...

Thanx.

the commute is quite satifying. without it i wont be riding much at all and that becomes a safety hazard. i like to keep up my hours.

the problem is the commute is the same route at the saem time every day

Thats true driving to work and back has really helped me a lot lately, that's why i want to start with bike runs and try make a routine out of it, I haven't done one yet, and it looks like a lot of fun, plus you get to meet some interesting people ^^... Let me know if you hear anything tho, I would greatly appreciate it

Wana do a run either on the 18 or 25 of August?

to Hartees or somewhere else

If anybody is interested please pm me or leave a reply

Even if there is just one more person, we can iron out the finer details later

the run will most probably start from johannesburg

i never plan past the next 2 days (i'm a hypochondriac, the only appointments i keep are doctors appointments) so ill tell you closer to the time.

i suggest Saturday , 24 aug 2013, start ride at 9h00 from beyers naude to harties, late bfast there, different route back. That means i'm home with the wife in the afternoon.

also put the rules down so its known from the start. Stick to the speed limit. hooliganism will not be tolerated. racism will not be tolerated.

but im anti social so ill probably not join.......
