unless you can actually build your own bikes in this one im not getting it. i think it should be like the game Pure. where you can customize everything on the bike and each part has a different affect on it.

oh i am sure it does. I play 07 sometimes still. this one is so much more realistic. It seriously has all the real helmets the riders wear, and all kinds of other realistic stuff, i am sure they did everything on the bike they could

well i just watched a different video on it and it said you have a crew and you can hire new staff for yourself and they are the ones who make it possible for you to upgrade your bike. thats no good. a little disappointed.

I'm probably going to pick this up - depends how I like the demo. I'm curious if they're going to throw any moto2 stuff in there or stick strictly to GP (the more likely scenario).

I would love for Polyphony to make a new Tourist Trophy, seeing as that games ~5 years old now and on PS2, I don't think it's very likely though. Besides look how long it's taken them to put out GT5.

Also wish the WSBK games would be released in the US - the 08 version was but I want me some Ben Spies.

Already pre-ordered! I read an article that capcom will release free downloadable content at launch. This will include all the current rosters, liveries, and tracks. The physics look really good! Also, 20 player racing online has been confirmed. I just hope they refined the rankings better than 08. Still looks to play more arcade like, but I will be competing nonetheless.

See you online.

Here is the link to the original thread that was started about MotoGP 9/10, https://www.600rr.net/vb/showthread.php?t=150512.

The game looks like it's gonna be disappointing. Looks like they went way to arcade style with this one. I've had it pre-ordered for a few months now, but after seeing all the trailers I'm not excited for it. I have all the motogp games for playstation and bought the last 2 the day they came out, but I think this one is not gonna be all that great.

Demo's up on XBL, I downloaded this morning, didn't get to check it out yet. According to other sites it's up on PSN now also. There is supposed to be DLC shortly after launch that contains the Moto2 bikes. The 125's and 250's are in the game already.

I downloaded the demo for xbox360 this morning. The track is Mugello. Capcom really went arcade with this one. It even has the Sega games type of announcer/commentator. They went back to the electronic soundtrack like the older versions. Graphics are great though. The bikes are spot on. I can see the rider twisting his wrist when I get on the throttle.

Played some time trial to get used to the difference in the physics from 08. I have always played manual transmission. The controls are slightly different for shifting now. You can also make your rider gesture with the d-pad. It took me a few laps before I was able to keep a smooth line. When you go off into the gravel, you can really feel it on the controller!

I need some more practice to get used to the differences form 08. All in all though, I love the genre and look forward to the full game. The RC212 looks awesome and the environments are well done.

What do the rest of you think so far?

My initial impression - it's godaweful. I started with Arcade, which threw me onto a 250, thinking it would be a good intro and a way to break in the control scheme. Turned into me doing a bunch of wheelies and sliding off track a whole lot until I just gave up. 125's oddly controlled better and the GP bikes in time trial were also fine but I must say I felt much more at home after a few laps in the 08 version, this new one feels off.

Downloaded the demo earlier tonight and it's complete garbage. I don't know even where to start, lol. I mainly only play racing games and sims at that so my opinion might be biased. I've been playing the motogp games on playstation ever since MotoGP 2. I have MotoGP 2,3,4 and 07 for ps2 and of course 08 for ps3. This one is shaping up to be the worst yet.

The only good thing would be the graphics I guess. They are not that bad, but on the bike view you have no hands or arms on the bike. They went through all the trouble with the speed effect and left off hands on the handlebars. The speed effect is pretty cool, but a little over done.

The bad list is a lot longer lol! The game is very arcade like with the music and guy calling stuff out. I hate all of the points and time increase/decrease bullsh*t. Makes it so need for speed/grid like. I could deal with that though if the physics were good. I race in advanced and sim mode in 08 so I put it in the "insane" mode (lol) for the demo. I literally had to try to crash and it took like 3 corners to do so! You can go full lean in the grass dragging elbow and just stand it back up and go back on track. You cannot spin the rear wheel on corner exit or even hard acceleration either. You can spin it a little taking off from a stop. To be the hardest riding mode and the rear doesn't even spin is absolutely ridiculous. The brakes are way to good. If you smash both brakes you stop in like 10 feet. Having to push another button to tuck is dumb also. It should be the left stick your using to control the rider if they are gonna have it at all. That leads me to the controls. I hate that they are not customizable. I use manual trans so shifting is way harder then it should be. I use x for accelerate and they are only 2 settings to use x for accel, and they both are setup badly. They way they have made it with the tuck just makes it to many buttons to press. I'm sure I could go on with some more stuff.

To say the least I won't be buying this game. I've had it pre ordered for a few months now, but I'm gonna see if I can just switch that money it to another game. All the guys I race 08 online with said all the same things and none of them are getting it either. I guess we should play 08 online as much as possible before the new one comes out and they take the servers down. SBK X looks to be pretty good and it should be coming out soon as well, but just not in the US. Gonna have to pick it up on ebay, but I'm sure it will be better than MotoGP 9/10.

I played a lot more last night, pushing myself to get used to the new control scheme for shifting manual. I am going to have to agree with you guys that the only thing this has going for it is the visuals. The camera "tilt" option is decent.

It is difficult for me to conform to this arcade-like game. I switched to automatic transmission and the gameplay was just too easy for me. I want to turn that noob line off. I really want to play the moto2 class though (600's!). I will keep giving it a chance. Back when 08 came out, a lot of the peeps I played 07 with went back because they did not care for the sim physics. I stuck it out and ended up really enjoying the new features of the game. I'm optimistic that the same will happen here.

Yeah this game is really bad. I guess I'll keep my fingers crossed that they bring SBK-X to the US, not some watered down SBK-X NA version like the last one.

Amazon has a $10 game credit if anyone is still interested in this after that demo, at least you can save some cash on the next thing you buy.

SBK X is not gonna be released in the US. Europe only. We are gonna have to pick it up off of ebay. It should be out in May though. Everybody I race with online from GP 08 is not getting GP 9/10 but sbk x instead. There should be a pretty good group racing online.
