Didn't we elect this Douchebag to repeal the car registration hike? Now he is going to reimpose it? WTF! These damn politicians need to get there head out of their asses and stop spending more than what this state makes. Seriously, if we didn't have so many special interest groups it wouldn't be that hard.

Norcal here . Just ran calculations and will be contributing 16.5k (max yearly contribution to my 401k)... I am finding other ways to shelter my money from CA and fedeal income taxes.. Both of these wreckles f&[email protected]#@ have shown no discipline and seem to be going along w/ the strategy of screwing over the productive people in society.. The people who follow the rules .. I guess because they feel we will sit back and just take it...

I am originally from FL.. I love CA but this state's tax business and budget is ridiculous.. Honestly.. So, I am saving up for the eventual action of moving back to FL and settling down there after I have stacked up my chips.. What this state has to offer is great but not at friggin 9.3% income tax on top of federal... And o' you can only deduct if you itemize...

Screw CA for this... I can't say who because its confidential info but some major tech companies are already planning on moving elsewhere when it comes to American locations... I can't quote directly but I will paraphrase...

We are a global company and being as such we must consider frankly that there are many other physical locations within the U.S that we can operate effectively and more cost effectively. It is nice to have a hub here in CA amongst other tech giants but given the global financial circumstances we must begin to reconsider what value this adds to our bottom line.. Given this, we have froze hiring and are looking at moving our workers to other locations in the U.S in the near future...

The world hasn't learned it's lesson yet as to what happens when you keep punishing productive people who do the right thing and act financially responsible and instead reward the unproductive and wreckless people...

O'well... I love the roads out here but when my job goes ... So Do I .
CA can kiss my in this regard and it will soon be paying for this ridiculousness of its budget blunders, high sales tax, high income tax, high ass cost of rent/living...

That felt good :all_cohol. O'well.. I am doing my part to put salt in the wound and shoving as much as I can away in tax shelters that avoid paying CA another red cent of my money.:icon_stud

Here's a thought, STOP ELECTING DEMOCRATS

Yeah, yeah, Ahnold is a republican, but in name only...

New York is in almost as bad of trouble, you should see the tax increases slated for us. It's all of the welfare benefits that are killing the state. Medicaid is the worst culpret. I think my county pulls in 19 million in taxes, and 18 of it goes towards paying for jobless single mothers with four kids that go to the doctors every time one gets a cold.

EDIT: Speaking of new taxes, here's their latest idea, TAX INTERNET PORN!! I kid you not

http://www.nydailynews.com/ny_local/...its_clima.html

A state proposal to add a 4% tax for downloading movies and music will also apply to Internet porn.

Don't most people use stolen credit cards for that, I know mine has been jacked twice.

Gents,

On behalf of the great state of Georgia, I would like to extend an invitation for you to move to the Peach State.

Pros:

Low State income taxes
All year riding weather
Low cost of living
Low gas taxes
Low property taxes
Close to the Dragon
Road Atlanta
Roebling
Close to Barber and Talledega
Close to Jennings
Close to Blue Grass
Close to VIR

Cons:

Not as socially progressive as CA
No real beach (we have a little one, but it kinda sucks)

Living anywhere is a compromise, but I think Cali has a lot of cons to go with its pros.

Warm regards,

Georgia

Anyone else notice that he is a worse public speaker than Bush when he isn't using a teleprompter?? And isn't that why everyone called Bush an idiot, because he wasn't that great at speaking? How long until we hear the same about Obama?

I noticed that a LONG time ago..he is lost without a teleprompter .. But with it, he makes great speeches and all the people in the country waiting for money fall into his lap... he is a GOD , he can do no wrong!!

Look at who this clown has chosen already in the short time he's been in office...2 or 3 or them had tax issues
(if that was one of us we would be in jail) and then someone recently left because they didn't agree with his policies.... That ought to tell us something , right there... This asshat doesn't even have a full staff yet!!

You wont ...nobody can say anything about him or they automatically become a racist.

Don't worry though...In about another year, everyone is gonna have a wake up call when they realize he ain't giving anybody sh!t

We can blame it on the Democrats, Republicans, or whoever else we can blame it on. There is a small group that we are forgetting to blame for all of this: US. The American people are the ones that vote for these people. I am one of them. I would not one bit surprised if there are a few members of this site that are part of some of the special intrest groups and lobbyist groups here in the good ol' USA. We, as Americans, have to band together to put a stop to all of this. But, alas, there is a problem; GREED. We, America, myself included, are the greediest bunch of bitches on the planet.

first of all, the problem is not Arnold. you cant give someone $1 and expect him to buy something that is worth $100. he may be able to travel through time, but he do no magic. when the people of CA elected him, he said he wont cut registration and properties taxes. but the budget must come from somewhere. whom ever lend those money to CA must get paid. as a result the student gets the worst of it. now we are in the biggest deficit that CA have ever face, where some government workers are force to take vocation yet the state legislatures refuse to force their own workers to go on unpaid vocation. if you ask me, they are protecting the small amount of workers that they have yet putting everyone else including themselves in danger. because CA need to conserve every penny they got. and if CA don’t make the budget, the government will go under which will trigger a world wide depression and war.

the bottom of this epidemic is greed and no accountability for your own action. look at that woman who give lives to 8 of her premature rats. it is people like her leeching off of the good CA budget cause us become this way.

special interest is also to blame. we have so many unnecessary programs and inefficient government structures that piss money way days in and out. in addition to the unrealistic wages the government is paying for otherwise unqualified workers. there is no ammount of proof that you can show to justify why a High School teacher should be earning more than 50k per year no matter how many years they are on the job. I’ve heard that a teacher of 10-15 years gets paid in the 70K range. they only work 8 out of 12 month and gets regular holidays off. majority of them teach ineffectively that the stuident did not learn anything after they finish. so why do they desirve to get paid as someone whos busting their ass working 10+ hours? they dont.

RIP Phatty

I have no problem with teachers making 70K a year, provided that they are paid for their competence rather than their years of lack of it.
Teachers are the folks molding the minds of the next generation, and i am firm believer in "you get what you pay for" . Hard to recruit smart young teachers, when they can get a job making twice the starting salary of a teacher, well perhaps not so much ATM.
But that maybe why we have kids that graduate high school with a 3rd grade reading level....

CA for all it's faults does do the rest of the country some good. There are good things coming out of that state. I think it will be the 1st place in the country to effectively decriminalize weed. Speaking of which, if they simply legalized and taxed the sale of marijuana, there would be no need for tax hikes.

I have wanted to move to SoCal for a long time now. I just could never see how I could afford to maintain any std of living worth talking about. I still think that I will make out there eventually.

You do realize the cost of living in California is higher than the rest of the country. An average home in California costs $450,000 while the rest of the country is $2-300,000 depending on the state. That's why teachers are getting paid 20k more there. Isn't minimum wage there like $12.50
Screw that state it needs to break off and sink.

Screw that state it needs to break off and sink.
the fact of the matter is that i do, i pay for it monthly. there are plenty of people here that make 45k a year and makes it. yes the homes here on average is more expensive. but in the last year or so, it have gone down tremedestly. where a single family that makes combine of 80k-90K can afford a 450k home confortablly. that is 40-45k per person. its the money management skills and self control that many people dont have that leads us into trouble.
and the minimum wage here is still like 8 somthing in LA area.
i do agreed you get more bang per buck when it comes to ... well just about every thing in other states. but the SOCA do provide the convince of everything in resonable diving distence. for example, in LA area you have about 3 them parks in a close 50 miles proximity of each other.

i went to the high school here in so cal. and there are only a few teachers out of my 4 years in HS that i would consider have teach me a thing or two.

IMO is that they get way overpay for the work that they do. the universites however actually teaches you many usefull things.

RIP Phatty
