we are hiring idiots for police

Quote:
Injured good Samaritan ticketed for jaywalking
DENVER A good Samaritan who helped push three people out of the path of a pickup truck before being struck and injured has gotten a strange reward for his good deed: A jaywalking ticket.
Family members said 58-year-old bus driver Jim Moffett and another man were helping two elderly women cross a busy Denver street in a snowstorm when he was hit Friday night.
Moffett suffered bleeding in the brain, broken bones, a dislocated shoulder and a possible ruptured spleen. He was in serious but stable condition Wednesday.
The Colorado State Patrol issued the citation. Trooper Ryan Sullivan said that despite Moffett's intentions, jaywalking contributed to the accident.
Moffett had been driving his bus when the two women got off. In the interest of safety, he got out and, together with another passenger, helped the ladies cross.
Moffett's stepson, Ken McDonald, said the driver of the pickup plowed into his stepfather, but not before Moffett pushed the two women out of the way.
When he awoke in intensive care, he learned of the ticket. "His reaction was dazed and confused. I was a little angry," said McDonald.
The other man also was cited for jaywalking, while the pickup driver was cited with careless driving that led to injury. Sullivan said the two elderly women haven't been cited but the investigation is ongoing.

so we will get blam for not helping, and we will get fine for helping, WFT can we do.

RIP Phatty

Shyt like this make people not help each other out.
I stopped a while back when I saw a smokin hot chick (Im married so I guess that doest matter)on the side of the road with the hood up. I pulled up behind her vehicle with my hazards on and asked if she needed help.

She explained the cars just died and she needed a ride. I told her Im fairly gifted with cars and a experienced mechanic so I would take a look if she would like or she could use my phone to call for help.
She snapped back that she has a mechanic and a phone, she just wanted a ride to her friend house.
I explained that I didnt feel comfortable with that.. Just on the rare chance that any thing were to happen to her before she made it home the last time she was seen in public was getting into my car. (her attitude wasnt helping her case BTW)

She assumed the face like she just smelled a fart and said "So...your not going to help me at all ? I just need a ride ! ". I asked if she had family local that could pick her up , she said she did but didnt want to call her mom or dad at work. Her plan was to go hand out at her friends house and call her dad later to deal with the car sitting on the side of the highway.
At that point I thought to ask if she had AAA and she said Yes..her dad gave her a card to put in the glove box.. why do you ask ?

I told her to just call the number on the card, and Have a nice day. Help should be here soon
And I left. She stood there looking confused as if no one had ever told her No before.

^^ i hate the pretty girl syndrome where they think they entitle the world.

the cop needs to write tickets to be part of their performence review ie quota, but there are enough stupid people out there to give tickets to. people do stupid sh!t all the time. now that guy that help will porbablly get denied of the personal injury insurace money from the hitter becuase his injury is cause by his illegal action. his own medical insurace might reduce his pay out or even not pay at all because what he did is breaking the law. this popo is dumb where he dont have the ability to judge the situations and the laws that are applicable with in reasons.

RIP Phatty
