I am almost completely sure that some libtard @sshole will try to bring a lawsuit against him for that letter.

However, he is ONE HUNDRED PERCENT correct.

Seen that the other day..completely true. On stimulating jobs you gotta look at like this. If you cut taxes for the middle and increase for the upper class these will be the 2 normal things the middle will do with the extra money from cuts: A)Save it (thats what myself and others did with the stimulus) or B.)Spend it, but I'll be most of the purchases are for things made in China, India, etc. So that doesn't really increase the amount we purchase that is made in the US. But if I'm risking my money...heck yeah I want to get paid. I remember when I had a job in HS where I got a .50 cent raise. Well I jumped brackets apparently and ended up making less money per 40hrs b/c of that .50 cent raise. Who wants to work hard to make more money if you don't see any of it.

In response to the picture referencing food stamps. Why is it that if people use the system to get something they need (food) they are moochers and takers and lazy? But if some rich guy uses the system to get huge tax breaks and take in millions more dollars, he's just smart?

Never said their weren't abusers. Didn't answer my question though.

What about the rich guy who makes millions of dollars a year and pays an effective rate of taxes lower than most Americans?

Found this:

"The Food and Nutrition Act of 2008 (the Act) defines eligible food as any food or food product for home consumption and also includes seeds and plants which produce food for consumption by SNAP households. The Act precludes the following items from being purchased with SNAP benefits: alcoholic beverages, tobacco products, hot food and any food sold for on-premises consumption. Nonfood items such as pet foods, soaps, paper products, medicines and vitamins, household supplies, grooming items, and cosmetics, also are ineligible for purchase with SNAP benefits."

The picture is a joke. Romney is a tool just as much as Obama. Nobody should be slipping through loop holes to avoid taxes at all. But guess what? One of the two federal reserve puppets will be getting elected in a month because America is too stupid to vote otherwise.

I will say about the rich people that most of them pay a sickening amount of taxes compared to what I pay as a middle class American.

SNAP is the name of the assistance program. Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program. EBT cards are just a means to use the program. Electronic Benefit Transfer card.

Aren't conservatives pushing to give all the power for programs like this to the states? Funny, then, considering how well California seems to be running it.

We do have restrictions on alcohol. I know this because I tried having my mom try it back when I was in high school, didn't work.

So we have conflicting stories here. deluzrider, you said that you "saw this the other day". Did you really SEE someone pay for alcohol with an EBT card? Just wondering.......

Here is the difference b/w loopholes for the rich and poor taking advantage of federal programs.

A) Rich person hires accountant that is actually the one finding the loop holes, not the individual. You can't get rid of the person using them, get mad at the person that still hasn't gotten rid of them (do believe Obama has had 4 yrs)

B) (And I have seen this) Two situations. Middle class lies about income or marital status to get assistance b/c if they did it the right way they would not qualify. (all you have to do is say one person moved out even though you are still married)

Second situation: poor person needs EBT card but sells it to someone to get cash to go buy whatever...electronics, booze, drugs, stuff they don't need.

So whats worse? There is a difference in using a legal loophole (whether its ethical is different) or just straight breaking the law by lying or selling your ebt.

Legally you can't buy it with EBT but if you go to the right gas station, all they have to do is ring it up as something else like milk or deli. On most of my receipts of cigarettes it just says "Non-gas purchase" or something like that

so your saying that nobody ever breaks the law to get tax breaks? Never lies about their income to get tax breaks? I only ask because you had no problem mentioning people that cheat the assistance programs to make it seem like their all cheats, but you don't mention tax cheats at all.

EBT can be used at an ATM, so all they have to do is withdraw the money and buy whatever they want. Beer, cigs, drugs, save it for some rims.

http://www.ct.gov/dss/cwp/view.asp?a=2349&q=304628

How to Use Your EBT Card at a Cash Machine (ATM)

Always follow directions on the ATM.

Enter your secret PIN.

Press Withdrawal.

Press Checking.

Enter the dollar amount you want.

Take your cash from the machine.

Wait for your card and receipt.

Check the receipt to make sure it is the same as the amount you got.

DO NOT count your money at the machine.

Keep the receipt so you will know how much you have left in your account.

If someone does this, it is not the fault of the program.

You can't do this unless you are getting cash assistance. If you simply are getting SNAP, your card cannot be used at an ATM.

The reason I didn't is b/c most of the ppl you are referring to using these loopholes are ppl that make enough money to have an accountant. So if anyone is breaking the law in that case its the accountant....but yes it happens all the time. But lying for your taxes is something that everyone does...rich and the poor so I left that out. I don't see many rich ppl lying to get food stamps just to sell them. Also we were talking about loopholes vs ebt not general lying.

Sure it is. There should be a different plan in place. But trust me, I'm putting more blame on that person and that cashier
