If this passes it will be a disaster. It will not work as it is written.

Thanks Please spread the word on this. Even those that thought it was a good idea are now seeing it's not going to work. We need to make sure this doesn't happen.

can someone explain why its a bad thing from a democrats point of veiw? my family has been stuggling to get by. my father may have cancer and we dont know cause we cant afford to spend any money on doctors or we could lose our power or housing.

meanwhile the only reason i have a bike is cause of trading and insurance payouts. my teeth are roting and owe close to 20k in medical bills. im close to selling my pride and joy and losing my home if i dont. if health care was more afdordable i can see it to help my family but as it seems people who see cheap health care as a hole in their pocket for tax payers that actually make plenty of money to get by and then some.

im tired of the greed in this country why should i bother living here if my family is gonna suffer.

explain why this is obamacare could make it worse or better.

I'm not gonna cover everything but yes it's affordable, but quality treatment will be much more difficult to find. Do you work full time? 40+hrs a week? A lot of companies are cutting their employees to 30 hrs or less so they don't have to provide healthcare. This means your out those 10+ hrs a week at work, andddd you will still have to pay for healthcare. I feel for your situation but being 100% honest not having affordable healthcare is not a reason that you and your family are having these problems. In fact I can almost promise you that obamacare will make them worse for you guys.

In addition, the health care field is a major FOR PROFIT field here in the United States. Think about it. If the government sets a price that they will pay health care providers which will be below that it used to be, the quality of your health care will be lowered. Doctors won't care/could mis-diagnose conditions simply because of this. You will get a less personable experience and will most likely have to make multiple visits to get your ailments taken care of

The quality healthcare this country has will no longer be around. We will resort to the waiting list game like other countries. Along with other problems. And not to mention people won't want to study to be doctors since their pay will likely go down

There is NO WAY that something controlled by the government will be more efficient. Quality will suffer. NOTHING is ever free. You pay for it one way or another.

The MAJORITY of the people who want health insurance CAN afford health insurance. Most of the time people who say they can't afford health insurance really can, they just have other priorities they want to put ahead, such as fancy cars, flat screen TVs, and smart phones. Of course there are always exceptions. There currently are government assistant programs to help people in need. Why not expand Medicaid to help more people instead? Why do we have to change THE BEST healthcare in the world for the majority to help the few in need? That is government logic and government efficiency.

For those that are doubting this. If it's so great of a program why are "THEY" exempt from getting it?

If it's good enough for us then it's good enough for them.

Watch and listen to the truth. Cruz is speaking now about it.

I think people are blowing all this way out of proportion. Only looking at the cons and not at pros.

I lived overseas in Turkey for about 15 years and I have been back to US for 16 years or so. I can not speak for every country around the world or every state in US but our health care system is not the best nor the worst. In my opinion for very complex/rare and advance procedures it is one of the best for a very high cost but other than that for common procedures including hearth surgeries it not the best. It is good or ok but not the best.
100% government run hospitals were crowded and appointment were not met all the time but it costed you nothing to pennies. You also have the option tho go to private hospitals which were as common, if not more, as government run hospitals which costed you a few dollars.

Now the biggest thing, drug cost. Retired pay 0 for medicine. Again ZERO for anything doesn't matter if generic or name brand or what the cost is. If your doctor prescribed to you it is 0. What do others pay? Less than $5 if you are working or worked with in the last 6 months. You can do a quick google search about why healthcare sucks in Turkey come up with many reasons why US is better. All the above info is my first hand experience or what I know from close family.

Remember US health care industry is for profit industry just like many other industries. With the wealth this country has our health care should be much better and it should be able to cover more people, it should be able to cover retired people.

Why does same drug in the US cost many times more compare to other countries? Do these drugs being sold at loss at other countries? I don't think so.

This my opinion, the way I see it. You can agree or disagree.

FDA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I will go out on a limb and say the FDA for the U.S. won't allow for exploratory new ideas on how to treat something. Peoples hands are tied to try new things because they have to be approved. When a name brand is sold here with a generic backup there is a generic/generic sold in other countries that don't have the FDA checking down to the amounts of what is in the drug. Even if it won't hurt you but still helps the cause and is cheaper it's not worthy of FDA approval.

Just to be fair, this is completely false. "They" are not exempt from this. In actuality, congress will be required to choose their healthcare plan from the exchanges that just opened Oct. 1.

As a registered republican I'll say that he GOP has been behaving appallingly. I am getting tired of the ignorance and fear mongering.

Literally millions...millions of Americans don't have health care coverage and we live in the "greatest nation in earth".

It's a ******* disgrace.
