Just funny that half his staff looks like sheep would go running if they saw anyone of them come in the barn. Who is Phil kidding about that one.

Where's the animal part? Or are you talking about when he quoted a Biblical passage?

Quote:
“Start with homosexual behavior and just morph out from there. Bestiality, sleeping around with this woman and that woman and that woman and those men,” he says. Then he paraphrases Corinthians: “Don’t be deceived. Neither the adulterers, the idolaters, the male prostitutes, the homosexual offenders, the greedy, the drunkards, the slanderers, the swindlers--they won’t inherit the kingdom of God. Don’t deceive yourself. It’s not right.”
I don't see him comparing the two. He just included it in what he thinks is sin. He then follows it with how he isn't in a position to judge anyone and just loves everyone equally like the Bible tells him to. I'm not Religious at all but it was what wasn't taken out context in that article that mattered to me.

As far as Phil is concerned, he was literally born again. Old Phil—the guy with the booze and the pills—died a long time ago, and New Phil sees no need to apologize for him: “We never, ever judge someone on who’s going to heaven, hell. That’s the Almighty’s job. We just love ’em, give ’em the good news about Jesus—whether they’re homosexuals, drunks, terrorists. We let God sort ’em out later, you see what I’m saying?”

A&E said that remark was the straw that broke the camels back. He used it in his remarks when asked about Gay people weather quoting the Bible or not.

In the end it doesn't really matter how you or I see it. It's his employers who have the right to put him on TV. And they were offended enough to pull him.

Here's my only issue with the whole ordeal. If you're a group seeking tolerance and equality from everyone you can't be intolerant of others. I'm for Gay rights but I don't think Christians should have to change their faith in order to tolerate Gays. Christians should be entitled to their opinion as long as it doesn't interfere with the freedom of others. They also shouldn't be condemned or lose their job because of their faith.

True but there is some responsibility that goes along with being a public figure. And while all things should be equal, the reality is that we still aren't there yet, partly because of these types of religious views

The point I think is he expressed his views without prejudice or judgment which is where an issue becomes apparent. When someone takes there beliefs and hold them against someone else.

I wasn't referring to that, and frankly I've never seen the show and don't know who "he" is. Honestly most of the shows on TV remind me of Idiocracy and I'm sure this one is no different. I was referring to how upset people get over words, even to the point that they demand action. What's funny is the fact that a lot of the popularity of this show probably stems from those complaining.
