What is this part

What is this round engine part to the right of the oil filter looking between the downpipes,I’ve had a steth on mine and has a ticking noise?

- Micron Slip on - Pair/EVAP delete

Should that be quiet then or have I a issue with my oil cooler!!

I don't know I've never put a stethoscope to my oil cooler haha.

Seriously though how loud is it? Can you hear it ticking while you ride the bike? Any other symptoms?

It starts to tick from a cold start,but goes away at full temp,I thought it was cct but definitely from the oil cooler cover,no other symptoms and no oil pressure/temp issues at all!

You freak out over the wierdest things.

'06 F4i- Yoshimura RS-3C, Racetech springs and valves, Ohlin's rear shock, steel brake lines, 520 conversion. 87k miles and counting.....
'08 600RR- Stripped trackbike. CRG shorty brake lever, goodridge front brake lines
'15 1000RR- weekend toy

I think I’ll just ride it and enjoy it,if it’s something serious then the engine will start smoking or seize lol 👍
