shop/dealer put wrong oil in

I have a 2004 CBR600RR. The service rep insisted that the Honda oil " HP4S" was the correct oil, I asked for GN4. He decided to put in 10W30 HP4S when my bike calls for 10W40. I didn't know this till I looked at my invoice in my sheet. I confronted them that the bike uses 10W40 " Honda recommends that weight for all their bikes now" I looked on the HP4S data sheet sit says " 2006 or newer" Do you think I should have them dump it out and change it? Any harm running a 30 vs 40 weight oil? The bike seems to like it.

your bike will explode into flames immediately if you don't change the honda branded honda certified for use in their equipment oil.

Well..... After you put the flames out.....Make a note to self to start doing your own filter and oil changes. No more issues with service reps. As for 40 vs. 30..??? The debate will rage on,... across multiple forums for the foreseeable future. And unless you do most of your summer riding in Death Valley around red line, I'm thinking it won't make much difference.
2004??? Hmmmm.... no time like the present for a coolant flush...And yes, the Honda OEM coolant is good stuff... Good luck !!!

FWIW, I'd tend to agree with B&S's post.
