went 100mph on freeway in front of cop

ok so last night i was with my friends and we were getting onto the freeway waiting at the light and there was 2 lanes and i was in the right and in the left there was a car and directly behind that car was a cop and my dumbass didn’t notice him so when the 2 left turn arrows turned green we were getting on the on ramp and before the 2 lanes merged into 1 i ripped it past the car and went over 100 down the on ramp so now that car that was on my left is behind me and behind that car is the cop and then once on the actual freeway my friends said the cop just pulled over in the median and turned his headlights off. he never turned on his lights for me or anything so i am very concerned he got my plate. my friends think i i got lucky because of how fast i went but i’m not sure. am i screwed? was his dash cam on? or is there dash cam only on when they turn the lights on? is he gonna send me a ticket in the mail or somthing? this was at night and i had my helmet on with my dark visor so he didn’t see my face.

they can issue a registered owner ticket. don't lie to people.

OP, your first mistake was being a dumbass on the freeway, your second mistake was to go to the internet to low-key brag about it.

don't be a dumbass.

They can issue a ticket to the owner for speeding? I am guessing it would be one without points to the owner's driving record, kind of like a speeding camera ticket?

Some cops are lenient and understand that you just want to rip it every once in a while.
Some cops are busy with other stuff.
Some cops work for jurisdictions that have no-chase policies for motorcycles.
Some cops just grab your license plate and report it in.

Either way, as others have mentioned, you're a DA for doing it (and it sounds like you already know that). There's a time and a place for stuff like that, and a little more situational awareness might help you in the future. I'm not telling you not to screw around, as 99% of sportbike riders have and do and that's why we love these bikes, but be prepared to pay the consequences (and please don't hurt anyone else in the process).
