Infineon (Sears Point) TD pics 4/13

Well I had another awesome Td at Inf. here in Sonoma, Ca. Getting more corners down with entry and exits. Worked with a couple of instructors and got bumped to A group, which made the task of passing non-existant.

My pit crew

Turn 7 Double apex

Turn 2 Blind uphill

Turn 9? Switchback

Turn 10?

Getting body position advice from Rossi Jr.

Nice pics man! I was there riding with zoomzoom the day before, I deicided not to do two days in a row though.

BTW it looks like your progressing really fast, al ready got a feel for the A group... damn I dont think I am no way near there yet. I am still working on getting out of the B- group :icon_lol: My lap times are finally more at the slow end of B+ now.

Hope to ride with you soon again, when is the next track day?

Its funny how on my 1st session in A group was alittle like when I was first started riding on the track. Excited, alittle nervous that I was going to be obvious to all the real fast guys. But after the first session I settled my emotions down and just rode the best I could and stayed on my lines and passed 2 people FTW (I was passed by most everyone else). Its a eye opener for sure to be riding at 99% of my ability and be passed by 20 mph in fast corners

Thanks! I LOVE this track, it has everything but a long front straight, which I think seperates riders w/ skill from riders w/ hp. I was swapping positions for 2 laps w/ a 1000rr, he passed me out of the carousel and before the switchback and Id get by in turn 7 and 2. Before lunch I broke the 2 min. barrier, which was A group requirement, and got down to 1:56.

Next TD is Laguna Seca May 19, 20th

I was at Infineon on 4/13 too. Weather and the track were great. Amazing the difference between the different groups. As soon as you get comfortable in one group you step up and wow, suddenly you have to work a little harder to keep up. It's also nice to have riders that tend to hold their lines better. They may be faster but it sure feels safer.

Yes A group is alot faster, but with responsibility on the passer, Im just concentrating on what Im doing. Where as in B group I was always wondering/worring about what the person I was trying to pass was going to do. Sounds like you run A group as well, have to meet sometime. Post up in the west coast TD thread.

Awesome pictures you got the best looking pit crew
that is for sure as a father i think its a brilliant idea
on your behalf for taking the kids with you i bet they
had a blast it might become a major expense in the
long run if they all become track junkies like papa

If it doesn't challange you it won't change you
