First track Day 4-19-09

I'm about to do my first trackday her in Pueblo Colorado at the local track.
just switched my coolant out for water and taped up the lights. other than that, the 2008 600RR and i are good to go!!!

actually..there are a couple of organizations out here which only charge $120.

Some charge $150.

The closest track to me...which is only 2 hours away vs. 5 charge $270!!!!!!!!

Scott was wonderful!!

He let me borrow his leathers boots and gloves!!!

Don't think i met Marc. I'd like to. i had my Nikon D40 out there when i wasn't on the track!!! :)

MAy 11, I'm takin the race cert school through Vanmar Racing!! 300 dollars. lol.

I actually wasn't too bad. lol. i passed a 1000RR Repsol 05 i believe. and a SV 650 :). and kept up easily and wanted to pass.
But it was funny when my instructor passed me to show the way the turn was done best! lol.

My last run was my favorite!! My instructor ran outta gas and i had the track to myself! the rest of the pack was elsewhere!!! This is when i drug knee for the first time ever. lol. fun fun. kept doin it too. my last turn on the final lap i drug as i finished. lol.

It was a blast!! I'm addicted!!

I learned alot!! I still have to work on the basics when to turn brake etc. apex. etc. but i hope by next season i'll be sic wid it!!! lol!!

Hopefully i'll get some track time after the $300 race class on May 11th!! :)

Here's my last run/turn of the day



Here's one of my Drags.


Turn 10. Made me nervous. This was before the straightaway which is also the local drag strip. It was a little bumpy and seemed kinda slick from the drag cars warmin up the tires. It's a fast turn too. lol.
