Bridgestone Battlax 17" Racing Slicks

Any one have any experience with these tires... I was going to use the 003s, but the local store could not get them for me on time. So they will be giving me these for the same price as the 003s...

It will be my first time on slicks though:all_cohol

You will certainly want tire warmers if you are doing a trackday and running race slicks. These tires need heat to work properly. If you can not get your hands on some warmers you will need to take it easy for a couple of laps until the tires come up to temperature. They will take longer to heat up than street / trackday tires.

Also, multiple heat cycles (heating up and then cooling off) reduce the life and performance of racing tires. The warmers will also help reduce this by keeping the tires heated between sessions.

Power is nothing without control.

Get m there alot of fun. Use warmers and keep checking your pressures everytime you get off the track. 30 HOT rear. 32/33 HOT front.Make adjustments through out the day. I use the YCY front and rear. Really great tire.I use warmers 1 hour before riding.Tires have tons of grip at temp and lets you know when it needs to warm up a bit more. Been on Dunlops for years then switch to Bridgestones 4 or so years ago. Can't beat the price either. Just go easy
If you ever get a chance try the R10's another really good tire.
This set of YCY's have 1.5 days Chuckwalla and one day AutoClub Speedway And still have alittle bit more

Make sure to check my spelling,I was out riding during most of high school
