Talladega GP track days?

Has anyone done a trackday out there? I was going to prepay until I saw the track map, looks kind of....lame. Any comments on it?

Tally's looks are very deceiving. It is small, just over a mile, but has just about everything but elevation changes. It is a favorite among wera racers in the SE and MC regions. It is definately not as easy as it looks. It is a great training track as it offers so much. So yeh I guess I really like it, as do many others. STT holds some awsome TDs there. It is rare that Tally doesn't sellout. Tdub

Who are you going to sign up with? We will be there May 29-30. Heading to Nashville tomorrow, another fun track. Tdub

sportbiketracktime.com actually, probably try to shoot for the 29th. I'll have to check out Nashville, hitting No Problem Saturday. I wish you all had a TD at Barber sooner than June 25th that wasn't an event.

I'll second what Tdub said about Tally. It's a technical track and certainly not as easy as it looks from the overhead view on their site. I've been riding it at least a couple of times a season since 2007 and it seems to teach me a bit every time that I go out. Be prepared tirewise though. It is basically all left-handers and is pretty tough on tires. I know that I'll be flipping mine after Nashville this past weekend and have it ready for Tally in May.

Tally has basically ONE right hander, so plan on flipping your tire if you want to get the most out of it. BTW, Nashville was a BLAST, can't wait for the under the lights weekend with STT. Tdub

Talley is nice.. But it's not nice if you have a FULL signed up trackday.. The little track can get congested etc... It is a alright track. No where near as nice as barber though.. I'd ride at barber all the time if I was closer and it was not 2x's the price of Tally
