Question What do you wear under your leathers?

I'm sure this has been covered, but what's best for keeping cool and comfortable under leathers?

When I was buying my new leathers one of the salesman was talking about Under Armour.

Any suggestions?

Seriously, pantyhose. Nylon pantyhose is basically the same as under armour, except much cheaper. It helps wick away moisture and makes getting in and out of your leathers effortless.

Sounds crazy, but pantyhose works.

What do you think the idea of under armour came from to begin with?

I wear under armor shorts and an under armor short sleeve shirt, I don't have problems getting in and out but I also use a 2 piece suit so it makes it a bit easier.

I can definitely see pantyhose working, perhaps even cooler then under armor because its so thin.

I always & only wear Nike Pro compression shorts and shirt [long or short sleeve] under my track day leathers. I have about 40 Nike Pro shirts and 25 Pro shorts that i've accumulated over the years. Under Armour is not as good for pulling the moisture off and staying dry but it is cheaper and their marketing isn't bad either.

RS Taichi mesh undersuit - I don't remember which one. Even in the sweltering 100 degree heat the 1-piece just slides right off.

Can you be more specific? What color do you prefer? With or w/o the line up the back of the legs? Control top? Where do you buy them? What size in ladies panty hose translates to men's size? Will I need a matching bra?

Sarcasm, yay. I guess it may be better for you to go out and spend $80 on Under Armour then $5 on pantyhose, when you can get the same result from both.

If I'm at the track in the summer, yes.

Hell, even Barry Sheene wore pantyhose when he raced MotoGP because of the ease of getting in and out of leathers as well as them wicking moisture away. Under Armour didn't go into production until 1996, so what do you think people used before that?

Most panythose is made from Nylon 6-6 which has a very high melting point (no worry of it melting to your skin in the event of a crash). There's also the Polyester ones, and the RS-Taichi undersuit mentioned earlier in the thread is made of the same stuff.

Under Armour is for the most part 81% polyester. It just has other fabrics in it to give it that elasticity, that pantyhose already has.

I'm not joking. It's a cheap, effective alternative to spending a bunch of money on name brand ****.

Under Armour 'Heat Gear'. Although it works too well on those cold days.
