I will be attending as long as I get a spot on 21st. If my tires hold out I'm hoping the 22nd is doable too. :)

I did Patriot last month and its was a blast even though it rained most of the time.

I heard about that Patriot day. I ran the N course with Team Promo the following Monday and the weather was perfect even though at the beginning I almost didn't go cause it looked like rain. Has anything filled up for that weekend yet?

Still keeping my eyes peeled suit wise for you. Sorry that other didn't work out?

Jbutel, I'll be the one holding you up in the B group haha. I have a size 42 suit that I can spare for the day. Been down once in it but it passes tech inspection no problem.

I'm joining in the mix at VIR, planning to be there for the whole weekend, although I'll be doing South on Sunday and North on Monday. I'll be with the NC Sportsbike crew, about 25 or so of us will be on the track on Monday. Another 8-10 for sunday. I should be there taking some pics for fun on saturday.

Yea, I'm gonna need some video of me to analyze.

Jbaz, what days you gonna be there?

I am considering picking up a Go Pro camera before hand, but I dunno.

I'll be there the whole weekend, but I'll be on the track sunday and monday. I'm not very fast until I get comfortable with the curves. My confidence in my r6 is much better after the deals gap trip since I've only been back on a bike for a month now. Took me about a year to get comfortable riding the 600rr and leaning it without getting scared of crashing.

I never really liked the Go Pro camera's except their small size and the fact that they can mount anywhere. The quality of the video to me isn't very good and the wide angle fisheye lens is kind of annoying. Also it has a really lousy way to scan the images, which skews the image whenever it vibrates and trust me, those camera's will vibrate a lot.

Personally, $300+ for the kit seems a little too high for what you get, I'm sure there's plenty of better options available for that price, but everyone seems to be on the gopro band wagon.

Then again, the only videos I've done has been with expensive DSLR's or real pro camcorders with good lenses. And I'm crazy enough to attach it to a bike.

Yeah, I had it on my friends r6 for about 4 runs on the gap, really helped me out see what I'm doing and not doing correctly. I thought I was leaning really hard but apparently not hard enough. Got close to dragging knee a few times, but I have to get off the damn bike more to do it. I'll figure it out soon enough.

You think VIR will let me run the r6 in the "goldwing" mode? Apparently, I can lean the bike pretty good with 125lbs on the back. Was stunned that I had no more chicken strips after day 1 in the mountains with a brand new tire.

I'm here and had a blast taking some pics of guys going around the oak tree. My pics are on sale at picsofyou so definitely check it out. I got some portfolio quality shots today. Donno if anyone saw me around the track with my military vest, 400 2.8 big ass camera on my blue r6 with the number 314. That's me.

Here's a teaser of what my quality of photos are. It's rare for me to shoot for volume and actually have my pics on sale since I mainly shot ads, commercial and editorial work.

I'll be on the track tomorrow and Monday, sadly not taking photos of myself riding... although, if I could that would be bad ass, but it would require about 1k to do properly using autonomous motion detection software tethered to a wide angle camera to acquire the target, then the big camera to shoot with attached to a heavy duty chassis rig with electric motors and servo's that are capable of fine tune adjustment while holding atleast 20lbs.

And yes, I have thought this through and priced it out.

Well my 6 is not longer mint. High-sided the bike at turn 5, fish hook, at South course saturday. really sucks since it was a pretty bike. Ugg... Don't even want to fix it right now. Atleast, I got it jerry-rigged and ran it the rest of South and all of today. But still, sucks going down and down pretty hard.

Hmmm, I don't think I saw that one. I did see a guy somersault over his bike in turn one on south. Ouch. I think I also scared some girl on Saturday from doing an endo in front of her. Whoops.

I had a great weekend! I was a little over watched on Monday, but I guess in reality I was just lucky because they often pulled me to the front for sessions. Well, no more of that. I am sure I will be the slowest person out there in I group from now on. Yay for the bump.

I had some crazy close calls because of some dumb asses in B group on North. The only 'oh ****' moment of where I would have **** in my pants was right at turn 7 where someone cuts me off when I was breaking and about to turn in, then he breaks hard, slowing down to like 35 of where I was slowing down from 100ish and when he cuts me, I was going about 90 right around brake marker 5.

I ended up doing a crazy stoppie right around turn marker 4 or 3, like 45 degree's, and because I was already somewhat slightly turned to the right for the curve, I landed the rear tire wrong and got a small tank slapper and kept on going straight onto the track runoff. If that was grass, I would have ate it. This was the session right before lunch and told two CR's.

I saw one guy in green leathers ate it at the same place where I did my stoppie and he too said someone cut him off. reason why they did the rider's meeting again at Lunch to tell people to stop riding like dicks out there. Seriously, pitting in and waiting that extra 30 seconds to get clean track does help. Did that 7 times yesterday and well worth the wait.

I also saw a red sv650 the 2nd to last lap on the last session of where he cuts me and VFR off at turn 7 while we were already turning in. Freaked the VFR guy out and was surprised too. We ended up slowed down to like 45 to avoid that fucker in that curve.

Personally, I don't like North course. I know it takes longer to learn it, but I didn't feel as comfortable like I was with South right away, even after my wreck down there. I blame the pilot powers. Should have ran the dunlop ama 209's on my spare rims like I was going to, but figured since a few ppl had pp's and doing good, I stayed with them. never again.
