Looks like I'll be at T-hill on 11/8. I was thinking about going up 1 or 2 teeth on the rear sprocket, any thoughts?

I'm geared -1/+2 and I think it's almost perfect. The only thing that's an issue is I take turn 5 in 3rd gear and "bog" down to 5a, but from what I hear most AFMers do this. Other than that, I would say go up +2. It will help since these bike are low geared to begin with.

But don't take my word for it, I only do 2:10's at thill so me so slow lol

<----- thill turn 2

We have been to T-Hill last yr and this yr for the USGPRU races...really like the track, but a bit far to make it regularly.
Here is a video of this yrs race with an interview of the late Peter Lenz. My rider is #85, one of the 2 swapping the lead. Tdub

That was a great video! Watching that interview was tough. I have done many trackdays with Peter at thill and taken many track photos if him and even that race with 4theriders. Truly a good video Tdub! Congrats to your rider #85!

Do you use this gearing for all tracks?

Ya. But I've only done thill and Infineon. -1/+2 is ideal for Infineon.

Seca is worth double the money they charge.

The only time I went to Infineon I got rained out. Couldn't make the make-up date. Willow Springs is probably fine w/ stock gearing.

Yea, that blows. I keep the stock pipe just because of Seca.

id go up +2 or -1/+2. going up 2 will be fine. enough to drive you out of the corners, but not too much top speed taken away.

im running -1/+1 on my '08rr, and its fine. but im gonna change it to +3 to make it 16/45.

I'll be out there as well...will introduce myself when we're out there.

Throwing a pic of the bike up so you know who I am if you're walking around the paddock...see you there.
