vortex rearsets reworked

So last week i caught wind that a friend of mine really hated the way her Vortec rear sets felt on her track bike , I do believe she used the term "you could rake leaves with these things

also the way they are made makes it really hard to adjust your foot position while riding , not to mention they eat up soles of your boots

so i said let me take a look and see what i can do .....

enjoy

the original foot pegs were pretty rashed up and i wasnt happy just doing the foot pegs so i did the brake too,

sooooo voila

also i gave the shifter some rubber to keep from tearing up the boots

also when i got them they were pretty crooked so i straightened them out

I probably would have spent 15 mins with a just file and filed the groves down a bit on the original pegs. they look pretty good though, knurled groves are a bit off, but not bad for doing it yourself.

How much to do the same job on some sets for me? I want the same thing done: vortex rearset pegs, re-machined. I don't like the knurling on the vortex pegs either.

Lemme know a price and I'll let you know if I can afford it. : )

i doubt any one is serious about paying for these
figure in cost of material
time
and what it costs for me to ship it
and it comes out to just a little bit more than what people are willing to pay
im glad you all like it though

I only use Vortex on the track and I can position my feet all day long. Your statement is a generalization that simply isn't true for thousands of riders. Most people with Vortex that I ride with buy them for the grip specifically.

My Sidi's have a replaceable sole so I have no problem with them.

kthx have a nice day

if you read the first post you will see that i made these for someone because of their issues with the vortex pegs not yours

so instead of buying whole new rearsets i made some that worked for them
again not you

Wow...first time with a lathe huh? Friggin nice job dude!

I actually like the grippiness of the Vortex rearsets myself, but I could definitely see you making a bit of cash making replacement ones. Maybe.

I'm w/crash though. Anybody willing to part w/their vortex pegs, LMK. I'll take a pair or two of of somebody's hands for backups.
