A couple of friends are in the 400's as well. Look out for Tom Robinson and Simon Glennie. I think they might do quite well.

I hope you and your brother have a good one. I always think its the ultimate race.

Thanks dale, i'll keep an eye out for them, good luck to them also, i know what you mean about it being the ultimate race, i think it is as well, i cant wait to see Bill going round, but the only thing for me is i won't actually get to see him much cause i'll be in the pits so all i'll see is Glencrutchery Road most of the time, but i still will try and get out on the course as much as i can to see how he's doing and get some photos.

Well i'm here, god what a journey, He leave's to go to a newcomers brief in 30 mins then i'll meet up with him later, he's out on the course for the first time a 6pm English time FL is 5 hrs earlier, and got even better news, got here and a friend has lent me and the wife his 03 600rr for the whole time we're here, how cool is that, so all looking good at the mo, so tonight should get a look to see what sort of lap time he can do,aiming for a 100mph average lap so if he gets around that then there will be some drinking tonight, but we dont really know what to expect so we'll just wait and see. and definitely trying to get an onboard camera but there's alot of rules and regs so don't know if we can.but will do our best

well he got a 98.5 mph lap from a standing start on his first ever lap so happy as hell about that, nearly got the 100mph lap on his first ever go,not to shabby hey. he slowed down the second lap cause he was hanging out so much, so he's already qualified for the race on his first lap, so we're all well happy, can't wait to see how fast he can do it over the week, he's out again tomurrow on the R6 again and the 400 for the first time,so all's going well at the mo

Dude, that kicks ass.

When you get back I want to talk to you if you plan on going back in June for the Isle of Mann TT. I would love to go over there and check it out with someone who has been there before.

98.5 mph is solid. Good sh!t and good luck to your bro!

You should get in on the parade lap and the half day open road if they have that with the Manx and it's not too late to register!

Sat was the last practice and he got 105.9mph on the R6 which should get him in the top 10,but the race is a whole different thing so we'll wait till tomurrow, the race is early monday morning here, he got 99.6mph on his 400 which is really good considering the bike is bog standard where as most in the manx are hoofing but we did'nt expect him to come anywhere in the 400 class beacause of that reason and the they have so much experience, but he was the fastest newcomer in the class so not to shabby, well thats the practise week over now only 2 races to do, newcomers monday and the 400 on friday.

well thats it, it all over now and what a 2 weeks it's been, Monday was the newcomers race, well he was in 8th place going into the last lap which we were really happy with but his exhaust fell off 3 times just before the mountain, he managed to tape it back together and limp the bike home and ended up 21st which is a bit poo after being 8th but we were happy he got back in one peice, the pit stop went well but was a bit longer than we hoped because i had to put some oil in cause his R6 eats oil, but at least he finished, today was the 400 race again he finished 21st which is really good again. he got his 100 mph lap so we'll be drunk as sh*t tonight, all in all its being a hoofing 2 weeks, and cant wait to come back next year, hopefully i'll be here racing in 2 to 3 years and give bill and run for his money.

what did he race int he 400 class? An FZR or CBR 400? What year? And how did you get the bikes over there or were they there already?

Motocross guys break their bikes down and put them in cases but I can't imagine the same being able to be done with a streetbike.

he races an Honda NC29 basically a baby blade (CBR) i don't know the year off hand but it's old as hell i know that much, he live's in plymouth (south England) so he just throws the bikes in the back of a cargo van then puts the van over the the isle of man on the boat, and cause my mum still lives there we have a garage to put the bikes in, i was speaking to a bloke jim stuart from CA who came to race in the GP for his first time and he was telling me how i can qualify to race back there, so hopefully i'll be there racing 2007. but he sold his bike after the event cause it was to much to ship back, it was $2500 to get it to the isle of man then $4000 to get it back, but he had it air freighted so i think thats the most expensive way to do it. so i'm gunna start lokking now to getting my bike shipped back at least 6 months before it starts.

Congrads to your brother for two good results. That really stinks to here about the exhaust can issue, that probably cost him a top 10. Anyway, congrads again and good luck next year.
