VIR North Sept 5th With TPM - Carpool

I'm looking at sharing a ride for TPM's VIR North date on Sept 5th.

I have room in my truck & trailer for two riders with their bikes and gear. I plan on leaving the D.C. area at approx 1:00 pm on Sunday Sept 4th. I'll be able to pick-up anyone around the D.C. beltway or anyone along the way. All I ask is you help pay for gas (50/50 for one rider or 1/3 for two riders).

Give me a call to workout the details.

Kevin,

It would be great to get in on that setup that you have! But SC is a bit out of the way. I'll see you there though. I added the event to the calendar, can you see if you are able to add your name?

Kevin, have you booked a hotel room yet. I'll need to get one for Sunday night. Let me know where you are staying.

FLMAO! E has got to go, he needs to use one of the five sets of tires he's got. It will be one hell of a labor day!

Molsonman, isn't that the bike from Easy Rider?

Bladerunner, How cool are they with the camping outside the gates, think I could pitch a tent near you guys?

Yo! Linda just emailed me and asked me to Coach on the 5th at VIR. The only kicker is that I am in NJ. So I would have to drive down to you on Sunday, where we would go from there. Not sure if makes the most sense....But I have a girlfriend in DC of whom I would maybe like to spend Saturday evening with. I have to see what she's up to.

I also asked Linda if I could just go down to Warminster and throw my bike in their trailer and catch a ride with them. I just emailed her back so I will see what she has to say.

I know youre looking for a definite but that is the best I could tell you at the moment. Of course, if someone closer to me was looking to carpool that would make more sense to me. But this is still better than driving the whole thing alone.

You coming to pocono this weekend? I will be coaching there. I also have a race in NH Sept 3-4 but VIR sounds pretty appealing and I have never ridden there. And in the end it will actually cost me less money.

For superbike, like this coming weekend, do they run the north course or the full course?

Hmmm. things may have just gotten that much more tempting.....I could also be an ironman and race NH Saturday then drive to VA Sunday...The only thing that would keep me from doing that is stinking gas money.

I need a car that runs on cooking oil. And too bad hybrids don't tow worth a damn. That new Ford Escape Hydrid makes 155 hp. You could probably tow A bike with it. Hmmmm.

I can't believe you race on the East Coast and had no idea that the AMA guys race at the North course and that you have never ridden the North course.

Yes I still believe in the Easter Bunny...

VIR has always been elusive to me because of the distance. It is a solid 8-10hrs away from me and the track days have always fallen on an odd date. This track has been on my must do list for a while and it seems like I might finally get my opportunity.

CCS races here aren't what I would call close either. Although eventually I will make it there for a race.

I know they race at VIR but I never looked into the particulars. Beleive it since I never had a real reason to know it. But now I do.
