Number size?

Is it required by WERA or CCS to have specific size in numbers? Or back round plates?

All machines must carry three sets of numbers, one on the front and one on each side. Numbers must be visible with the rider on the machine. Numbers must be a minimum of 6" high, be spaced 3/4" apart and allow 1" of unobstructed numberplate/background border. Numbers must be the riderís correct WERA competition number and the only time a rider may change his competition number is when he/she is renewing his/her Competition License. Side numberplate/background fields must be behind the rider on the machineís tail section. If your tailsection does not have enough room, attach a correctly sized numberplate. Machines not meeting numberplate requirements will not pass technical inspection and/or will not be scored when racing. If you are found to have illegible numbers you may not race again until they are correct. Machines racing in Vintage class(es) will be the only exception to number plate placement.

Go to www.ccsracing.com for # requirements in the 05 rule book. But in short, front #'s are 8" high and rears are 6" high. Am is yellow background, Expert is white. Both with black #'s. If you are racing LRRS, it is white background, red #'s for novice.
