There will be 4-5 of us from Charlottesville, VA going, one you know as Quantumfield with the blue 600RR. I'll have the black/orange/white 900RR, the rest ride the other guys.

A buddy of mine (blue) and I (red) will be heading up. There are also a couple other guys from the board going as well. Bladerunner (blue), etc. There is a thread already started on this. Have a look in the Trackday forum.

I will be there coaching the Red & White groups and am coming down with a buddy of mine that rides a Blue '03 R1 in the Blue Group as well.

I am # 973 (yellow plates) with primer grey and lots of stickers and my friend Rob is # 357 with red numbers on white backgrounds.

I was hoping that we could all set up one giant row of EZ ups to make our presence felt. LOL.

I am going to try to make it there by 5:30 for the trailer drop since you only have between 5:30 & 6:30 to do that. Then I think we will be camping down by the South Gate. That is what Blade Runner said to do and what he'll be doing. I was originally going to be going down with him but my friend at the last moment said he could go.

Let's try to figure something out for the tent set-up and maybe camping. The more the merier.

Here's me on my rig with my nifty vest on. And if anyone in the Red or White group wants any help ask away. And if anyone in the Blue group wants to run laps as well that's cool. Just let me know.

I really hope you're joking.

Chrome rims are heavier but they make you faster. And the wind cuts better over the ones that just have the polished lip.

The Arata and Akro systems make great power if you are being serious. And that Hamaguchi full system is boasting an insane 20% increase in power but it is about 1300-1400 in change.

Instead of the Dash for Cash Race we need to have a "Dash For Jerky" Race.

You think I am kidding. If you bring 2 lbs. I pound for the winner and 1/2 lb for 2nd and 1/2 lb for 3rd I'll try to make it happen.

It would be a great promotion!

Yup. Team ProMotion has the North Track on Monday only. I couldn not find any other orgs that have the track rented Saturday or Sunday. Probably car stuff.

I called yesterday for a friend and there is plenty of room in the white (beginner) group. It will cost you $205. That includes guest membership for the day (which can be applied towards full membership) Post-Entry fee of $20 and the track time itself.

If you have never been on the track before you need to take the ART (advanced rider training) Class and that will be $250 for the whole day. The first part of the day is classroom and guided track instruction and the second half of the day you get free reign on the track. Then you get to take advantage of coaches like myself and Blade Runner to work on lines or whatever you want help with.

For a full description of what goes on check out my site at:
http://www.teamsampsonracing.com/tra...race_track.htm

If you join reference my name as it gets me credit with the club! If you have any other questions let me know!

It would be cool to possibly set up with some other people. I will be down there with 2 other fiends but I will be coming from NC instead of my home in Richmond. If anyone would like to pit together let me know.

ONEDWN5UP:

Maybe we can get together sometime during the day and turn a few laps.

Yeah, without a doubt man, let me know. There are only a handful of guys that go to the club (and that I also race against) that can turn comparable lap times. We kinda have "pass n go" sessions to make things fun.

It would be cool if someone could bring some cones and block off a nice big row.

Yo! Is someone going to have a grill for bbq'ing where we're going to camp by the South Gate?

Who is planning on camping down near the South Gate area?

Kevin (Blade Runner) said that's his plan and it sounds good to me. He said he's gonna bring the xbox and a TV as well. All I know I am gonna challenge someone in MotoGP2 and probably get whooped in halo 2.

It would be cool if we all camped, grilled, drank some beers and ate jerky together.

Anyone have a pair of sawhorses and a sheet of wood for a makeshift beerpong table? All we would need are some dixie cups, beer and ping pong balls.

What else is there to do in that area? By being down there and unload by 6:30 sure leaves some time on our hands. Are there any local bars or "gentleman's" establishments in the area?
