Arata Exhaust Wrap

Has anyone used the Design Engineering exhaust wrap on the headers and collection pipe on an arata TI system. It's quite hot inside the race glass and have heard multiple comments on not wrapping ti pipes.

I guess I'll leave this thread in here as someone may do a search for it later.

I talked to a guy from Dan Kyle and he said that you should NOT wrap the ti headers as the ti wont hold up to the increased heat. If you have serious heat issues, you can start wrapping on the collector and go towards the exhaust as the temp should be cooler here.

Again, this only applies to a full ti system. The Arata is ti from the headers to the can.

I have the Arata Full Ti and have used the DEI heat wrap, but used it on the inside of the lower rather than the pipe. It has worked well for me. Just my two cents.

Wrapping ti headers will kill them. Use heat shield adhesive film for the lower and panels.
