RR vs 636

I know what everyone one here likes more, but what is the better all around bike? I've heard from both sides, but which bike performs better on the track?

I dont know about the track but i took my 05 vs an 03 the other night in a second gear roll on just for the kicks of it. He pulled on me from 50mph till like 65 and than i just walked away as the RPMs got higher, all the way up to 6th i kept walking.

I have an 04 636 and 05 rr here and the rr has to me a nicer ride, fit and finish and style aside from the plank for a seat. I am 6'1 and feel more comfortable riding the forward position and lower seat on the rr. But to each his own.

the 636 is a wheelie machine compared to the rr even with -1 on the front.

I did a track day session on the 636 and had a blast. The windscreen sucks, and you can't see the tach well, but it had more mid range power and was very easy to ride. I'm not selling my RR for it, but it's great bike without doubt.

Can you race a 636 in the same classes as the 600cc ZX/RR/R6/GSXR etc. or does it get bumped out because of its displacement advantage?

Depends on the race organization, some you can some you can't.

I was just wondering because some guy I was talking to the other night claimed the 636 was FAR superior on the track. The way he was talking it was like I was riding a 50 instead of my RR.

That bike blows me away on the straights. I can kill them in turns like its my job, but that little power = a big deal.

i've heard pretty good things about the bike (ZX6R that is)..i think the fit, finish and overall quality will probably be better w/the RR tho..IMO
