Ducks in a row, who's going to these events?

Well, I'm tired of going to the track and racing alone. I havne't yet been able to find a worthy pit crew so maybe another rider in the meantime would help. I'm going to the following events :

Moroso - leaving Friday

Daytona - October 21 only (just the practice)

Barber - weekend of Halloween

Homestead - 12/1-12/2

I live in Jacksonville, so someone close by would be good. You should also be going to the track alone because there's only room for one more in the truck. I have a rolling workshop so all you need is a bike, gear and gas. We can split the lodging and gas money.

On a sidebar, while in college having astro physics, mechanical engineering, and computer science majors as your pit crew, who work just to get away from the books will really spoil you :)

Me too, bastid!

Derek -> The new springs should be here today so a major step forward. Considering I was riding on the last 10% of the fork travel all day, the thing handled pretty well, my guess is the oil is way to low also.

Larry,

I'll see you at Barber on the 29th an 30th. :D From what I hear, we may be sharing the track with some AMA guys and former world champions...

Kevin Schwantz, Jamie James, Doug Polen, and supposedly two other former AMA champions

Anybody else going to make Barber?

Riding with Schwantz would be a dream come true. I've idolized that man since 1989. Talk about a good way to learn the track, better bring the "A" game to even keep in his dust.

Dayrock, dude I can't remember you name to save my life. Sorry man... :( Anyways, yeah, I'm going to bring the 125. ;) I can't wait to rail on that thing... :D I'll make sure to post up some pics just for you man.

Yeah, the Oct 29th-30th trackday at Barber is through Sportbike Track Time.

Larry, I hate to tell you this, but if you haven't already signed up for Barber, then you'll have to sit this one out. :( They're sold out...

No biggie if it happens that way, but I have my methods of persuasion :)

I wonder if the Ohlins day is sold out yet? That might be a good alternative. Jamie James isn't exactly an even swap for Kevin Schwantz... maybe I'll get a rider to be named later also LOL.

I was planning on doing Barber 10/29 and 30 but didn't get signed up before they sold out. Going to Jennings 10/29 instead.

I view Jennings as a necessary evil. It's just too close to not use it when I have to, but the layout just doesn't suit me. The corners are just too low speed, every track should have at least one or two 100 mph corners, Jennings has none.
I'm thinking of substituting a Nov. Road Atlanta day if I don't weasel my way in... Road A, now there's a proper race track!

my buddy has recently sent out an email asking who wanted to go. i want to go, but i will have to wait and see how things are. i just spoke to the bank and told them i am $80,000 short and i won't be sitting for a few days after the reaming i just got.....so i guess all depends on how that situation turns out

No doubt, I completely understand. I'm still sorting through all the finances and when it all shakes out if I'm even I'll be ecstatic!
Hopefully you can make it.

Hell yes I do. Any event, just LMK. I'm only practicing at Daytona (Thursday) because I'd be gridded 80th or so (no points). That far back you have to worry about being lapped even before you start :)

I'm going to try to attend at least one of the Road Atlanta dates, maybe both. But I definately will be going to CMP on the 26th and 27th. You Flordia folks should come on up!
