Thanks everyone, and thanks to Buck for posting this. I'm not sure how, but I figure out how to get you back for this... muahahahah!!!
It was definately a great weekend! Although an incident with another 125 on Friday almost kept me from racing. I was following a white plate (expert) 125 rider during the end of Friday's practice when he tucked his front end and lowsided right in front of me. I literally had no where to go, and unfotunately, clipped the front of his bike which promptly sent me straight to the ground. I hit my left foot hard on the ground, and was worried that I might have broken it. Luckly both of us turned out relatively okay, and I was able to get the bike back together for qualifying on Saturday and the race on Sunday.
I had a blast racing against the nation's top 125 racers in the USGPRU
125 Final. This weekend was a my first time to race with the USGPRU, and I look forward to making it to their events next season. They're an awesome group of riders. Even though I got paid, my laptimes were still 10sec off from what the leader, Garret Carter, was put'n down! That kid was fast!
The CMRA 125 race was a blast as well. With a last minute track configuration change and rain looming over head, it was definately a race to remember. There's nothing like the racing on a half wet half dry track with slicks! woot WOOT! It's definately interesting how much of an advantage/disadvantage wet weather racing can be. Luckly for me, it was to my advantage, and I was able to pass a rider that I normally wouldn't have in the dry to come across the line in 2nd.
