radiator fan

I was just curious if a radiator fan can be safely removed on a track only bike and not cause the bike to over heat. The only reason I want to take it off is because I have an 05 fan that will not work with my 03 so if I can get by without it I will just remove it.

yeah, the fan only kicks on at high temps, mostly cause by sitting at a redlight. I forget what temp it kicks on at, im sure someone will chime in with that. On the track your always moving so you don't need it. Just remember when your sitting in staging or being gridded for a race the bike will overheat so watch your temp gauge. I just shut it off in those situations before it heats up

I have mine taken off on my race bike, no side effects, apart from no longer having a fan LOL
