Do the heal guards get stuck in your boots too?

For those who still use the stock rearsets, do the heal guards always get stuck in your boot? I have the Sidi vertigo corsa boots, and there's an opening in there that gets stuck all the time. What do you guys do?

Yes, I have the problem. The only time it does it is coming out of turn 14 at Jennings. I must be at the perfect angle for the guard to slide right into my boot. I havent found a fix yet, beside taking it off. I almost thought about bending it in towards the bike a little and see if that helps. I will know more this weekend because I am riding at Jennings and will beable to solve the problem

Yeah, I thought I was the only one. Only gets my right boot. And funny as it sounds I first started noticing it at Jennings. I have SMX Plus by the way.

probably just catchign on the velcro tab, i've had it catch that a couple tiems but nothing major... take the guard off and bend the very front in a little (curl the first 1/8th of an inch on the front in towards the bike...)

my right boot is all chewed up from rubbing the holes of the stock rearset. only the right one though. I have Sidi Champion boots though and they dont have anything to catch on the inside...

(edit) I've thought about swapping to the CF ones to help my problem. Wonder if that would help yours?

I have the same problem with my Sidi Vertigo Corsas and Arrow rearsets. The rearsets have a carbon fibre heel guard and my right boot was forever getting stuck. Drove me mad so I took it off. Now it looks stupid but my boot doesn't get stuck!

Oh heck, I just realised that only my left boot gets snagged, not my right! I don't really move my right foot around so it shouldn't snag anything.

With the SMX plus's I found that the vertical plastic strip hooks over the heel guard.
I fixed it by fitting a thicker carbon version instead.
No problems now.
You could try curving it round a little

I have the same problem with my Sidi Verbera boots (right side only) on both the stock and Vortex rearsets. A friend metioned that I maybe letting my right foot to slide forward on the peg and while draging it backwards, then it snags. Just a thought.

Yup Yup. Same thing here, I think it only happens when I get lazy with my positioning.
