Question MD Racing Body work

http://www.mdracingstp.com/bodyworkBkit.htm

Anyone have any experience with this bodywork?

I got a price quote of $510 shipped to my door. Some of the reviews I've read online compare this stuff to the likes of Sharkskins with fit and flexibility. But I was just wondering if anyone here had any experience with it.

No actual experience but I can't help to add this comment.

It all depends on if your looking for race body to act like "low cost solution for trackdays" or you want street quality race glass. You might want to run a search on race glass in general to see what your looking for. Run searches on Hotbodies, Sharkskinz, Cheetahs, God Father, OPP, etc.

Discussing race glass is like asking what the best track tire is and how should I set my suspension up. All depends on what your willing to pay and the quality you want for your dollars. Personal preference.

And the last comment... Sharkskinz have the best fit and finish and are as close to street quality body work you can get. But it is the most expensive too.

I ran MD race glass all last year on sprint bike and endurance. Endurance bike made the whole season on one set. Stuff crashed great and repaired easily. I got two more sets for this year. Good fit and finish.

Matt does a lot of NESBA days. I have not had any experience with him but the guys on the NESBA board speak highly of him. Sounds like a good deal!

I hear ya on the quality issues. I was just curious because I've found numerous reviews of the above mentioned race glass, but hadn't really read too much about MD Race glass. I wanted some of the track junkies' and racers' opinions on this stuff.

Thanks for the input about the Sharkskinz. I've got a couple buddies that run Sharks and I can vouch for the quality being top notch.

Looks good. I like the color scheme.

I was actually planning on doing something black and orange.

The quote I got was for an 05. They said $510 shipped and it's available now.

Maybe you should give them a call.

The one in Hollywood FL is Pit-Eck. I have that set, and it is about 1/2 a step above junk. The fit isn't terrible, but it needs some work. The finish is crap, but what do you expect for $300.

dfreret - I have been in contact with Matt and yes, $510 the whole set shipped to your door. I am hoping I can gather the cash in time to get a set before the first race. I am running around like a headless chicken trying to sell some of my junk to get a set ordered. Thanks for the info.
