I'm really going to try; I haven't tried the new track yet. Will have several co-workers in tow.

It's WELLLLLL worth it for sure! I crashed my first and only time there, so I'm going back for revenge.
Plus, the track is SOOOO smooth, and I'm a MUCH better rider now.

How long is some time? They have a newly paved track, it's like 6 months old or something. It's super nice!

Thanks! We have yet to meet still man, and aren't you just in Burbank?

It's in Pahrump Nevada! Basically, drive to Vegas! Lol.

If anybody has a truck, and wants to go, I'd be willing to split gas costs to load up both bikes and head down. I also have a canopy and generator, as well as stands and warmers that would need to come along. Let me know! Currently I have reservations with uhaul for a trailer and I'll be heading out on Saturday to spend the night (hopefully inside the gates) inside my car! Lol.

It's the same motorsports facility, but they basically made the 'big' course for cars only, and built a new, separate track to the east of it for motorcycles. I was fortunate to ride the big track in both configs, and also a special 'Streets of Willow' style config that utilized the small sections to the left. Gonna miss turns 1 and 2 on the big track though, super long sweepers made for great hero pics.

I really want to, if I can get this throttle nonsense squared away and button my bike back up I can totally do it.

Hey, a long time ago, Sept of 2013, we did a day at SMMR, you got some footage of me on your action cam, I was the guy that you saw me waiting in line to leave SMMR and walked over to our car to say hi. Don't happen to have that anymore do you?

I know you didn't, I was looking for you! :). A moth prior to that however, I believe late March or mid March, you WERE there. You even posted in one of my other threads telling me to come see you so we can ride around, remember?

Fighting chance, what's the throttle issue?

I've just been screwing around with quick throttle options, having problems with making the HRC tube work so I bought a used ER generic quick throttle but the cables in it were toast, so waiting on new cables from NJ. Hopefully I can put it to bed after that.

Then I want to get my bike painted so I can use my superbike tail and a proper foam seat, but of course paint is costly and annoying to do/get done.

Well, once you get that situated, you can hand sand some fairings, and if you do the painting yourself, you can use rattle cans and they can come out PRETTY clean if you just take your time.
