Frame-slider (left side)

Decided to go with Evotech-Performance instead R&G; anyway I will post a full review as soon as I will finish the installation. Today I just mounted the left side...

Package (very well done)

Famous ABS original collar

Left brackets/Slider on with no-fairing

Front view

Side view

More next weekend I hope, anyway they seem very very well done and look good, hoping to never really use them

front brake reservoir

After the front master cylinder stay (45550-MFJ-D01) I painted also the:
  • Collar (part: 50324-425-010)
  • Plate stop (part: 45535-MR8-901)

Here how they are now:

As per my Ergal addition I made the following changes:
  • Flange bolt (part: 96300-06028-07) - LighTech 004 - M6 - 30
  • Washer (part: 90473-147-000) - LighTech RSM6A
  • Nut (part: 90301-MG3-000) - LighTech 0015 - M6
  • Flange bolt (part: 90117-MR7-000) - LighTech 004 - M6 - 15 (this was cut of about 2 mm).

As you may see below I added also another washer:

Final result:

Angry New levers... bad news!

I tried to install my new levers but....

Clutch was okay and also very good looking... (Ergal red is the same as other LighTech goodies)

Instead the brake one has a big problem!

the bracket that push the switch is not done in the right manner...

original:

Aftermarket one:

As you may see the swith is not well pressed!

I will give back them tomorrow as the dealer hardly suggested me this brand(http://www.extreme-components.com/)

Hi!
You should get what is coded as LEVXF002J (for the J style) or the LEVXF002W (for the W style) so you remove the orginal one and install this [page 34 - link]

The race system instead is coded as LEV7100J (or W), but you should change a lot as you may see from the picture it comes with the "Handlebar holder" (image)

The "lever replacement" should be just just what you see at page 38 (so the spare parts in case something happen).

Why go for the race type? You don't need a new perch as the stock one works just fine. Also, there may not be a provision for the clutch switch on the Lightech lever perch.

Fairings

As she is on the stands, I took the chance to remove the fairing for a complete cleanup but also to learn how to do it without doing it in a rush (goodies that may arrive during the ride season as soon as Ä arrives in my pockets )

Completely naked

Cleaning in action

Now, as the Repsol fairings will not be mounted this year on 600 (and maybe also on the coming ones) and seeing how much they costs (I had an accident last year on my previous bike and only fairing were about 40/50% of the repairing) I decided to go with some aftermarkets...

My decision cascades on ABSfairing (2013 motoGP colors - link)

Modification I asked:
  • without the 93 on the upper cowl
  • without the RCV "text" on the middle cowl (right and left) - I will put here the classic CBR600RR logo that I will buy somewhere from eBay
  • without the "B" of "Bridgestone" from the front fender (right & left side)
  • I asked to leave the HRC logo on the front cowl (right and left side)
  • The orange as near as they can to the "original" Repsol orange
  • I added a solo seat cowl

I do not want to debate here on aftermarket fairing, so let's see what will arrive and how they will feat, for sure I will update you guys and after the installation a detailed product review will be posted
Until now the customer service provided by ABSFairings is perfect!

Can't wait to see it with the new fairings. I've thought about doing it to my repsol, just haven't taken the leap. Let us know what you think of the quality compared to the stock fairings.

Sure man! I think I should get the preview picture next week, and then, if all okay, they will ship! I will update this build thread but also post a full review once they are installed

Signals & Relay

New LighTech goodies arrived...

Also Tripage goodies arrived...

Today I changed the relay, with Tripage we checked that connectors were the same of previous models and so we tried...
I installed it, practically no difference from the OEM

and it worked fine with all the OEMs and also any mixed situations.
Just for a preview I made on-the-fly wiring...

I just tested one signal... little preview

During the week evenings I will do all the needed wiring (I am a perfectionist )

Thanks! well I am not going to switch because I like more the new look, just to preserve the original one as they are unmounted and beacuse I want to try aftermarket ones to give my opinion
