Full system WITHOUT Bazzaz afam - temporarily

First, let me preface with i have full intentions on getting the AFAM to properly make a map! and i searched, but didn't find anything about my specific situation, or about the quality of the bundled maps.

Here's my situation. i'll probably have by bazzaz z-fi and headers before my next track day, but won't have the afam until after that. Does the base bazzaz unit come with a map for a full system that would be safe enough to run on the track this first time? or should i wait to install everything until i have the afam??

Thanks for the feedback!

i think it only comes with a map for a slip-on, not a full.

As we speak I am waiting for my Bazzaz unit to arrive at my house within the next couple days.

To be safe I would just wait until you have everything ready and you can just get it all done at once. I'm on a similar boat as you but im not sure if the slip-on map that they come with will be enough to keep the bike from running lean.

yeah, sounds like the exact same boat. I think ill take your advice and wait.

Unless... someone has a bazzaz map for a RR with arrow headers and Akra slipon? that would get close no?

I'd PM Hardracing. They sell them and seem to have sound advice on them.

the map that comes on the bazzaz is not a good map IMO. Before I started a self tune, while riding I could really tell the bike was out of tune with my full Arata. I wouldn't do a track day with it in that state of tune, you will be running lean. Why not just get the AFM module and tune it at the track? It will only take a couple sessions to get it running really nice.

I plan on ordering the afm next week (hint hint lol), would it be ok to use the map for regular street riding just for a week or two until the unit arrives?
set up will be full system with OEM filter.

man, you guys are so helpful. It says a lot compared to everyone that has a PC and doesnt want to share their maps with other members.

If someone else doesnt start it, when I get my afm I plan on starting a bazzaz map thread (and hopefully make it a sticky).
Plus that'll probably draw more people towards bazzaz too, which will equal more feedback and better tuning experiences.

^^ Good idea. I have no problem sharing maps. It's silly not to.

Yes, that would be great if i could get a hold of that map to use for the time being. I do plan on getting the afam, but i dont think itll get here in time.

and also yes, i definitely think starting a bazzaz map thread is a great idea. i'll definitely submit mine once i get the afm.
