09 Yoshimura RS-5 on an 08?

Has anybody tried a new style RS-5 slip-on (carbon with round outlet) being sold for 09 bikes on a 07-08 bike? (SKU 1228272).

I emailed Yoshimura and they said their 09 systems were different than those for a 07-08 and that the 07-08 carbon only comes with the oval outlet (but are swapping over to round in a couple of months).

Has the 09 bike changed so much that the new muffler won’t suit? Everybody else’s slip seems to.

I do not really like the oval one so if it won’t fit I’ll go ahead and get a Leo Vince. (A shame, since their service response was prompt and friendly so I kinda wanted to buy from them).

Note: I did try the most excellent search function but got lost after an hour so decided to post.

Thanks guys. I've gone off the idea of trying a 09. I'd be gutted if it didn't fit.

Rokawa: yeah, I like that. SS looks good too!

I really like the Leo Factory SBK but I'm struggling justifying the extra cash. I'll give it a day or two to see if I can get over that.

Cheers
