MPG After Intake Mod

Does gutting out the intake on a 07 600rr significantly reduce your MPG. Reason I asked is that I have a full Akra system with custom PCIII map on my bike. Before I gutted the intake, I was averaging 120 miles per tank. Now after 3 full tanks I am averaging 75 miles per tank. WTF. I am going back in to get a new map done. But will a gutted intake reduce your MPG that much.

Your almost up a creak on this one as a dyno tuning is going to do little to correct a rich condition from running an improved ram air duct.

It may be time to invest in a PC 5 with auto tune

If a getting a new map done will do little. Then I might just go back to the stock intake.

actually no, my bike is completely stock...right now... besides the intake mod, and i seem to do fine.. i find that keeping the engine cruising in 3rd/4th is better than 6th due to it being under less load when running... i just keep light on the throttle now.. do you do highway traveling or city? because when i ride highway my bike eats gas but when i take the twisty route it seems to do much better... anyways good luck bud i saw a stock intake tube for sale in the classifieds for cheap, ma want to look into that
