CAUTION Bazzaz 07-08 600RR Slip-On Map Bad!!!

Just wanted you guys to be aware that the map currently on Bazzaz's website has waaay too much fuel at idle. The map has +20% fuel added at idle and pretty much 20% throttle down looks to be way too much fuel too. I went ahead and zero'd out 20% throttle and down as theres no need for this. My A/F Ratio was 11.2 and change the cell value to 0 brought it up to 13.0, which is alot better. I was trouble shooting rough idle issues and stalling out when I discovered this, problem solved.

At this point, I'm really skeptical about the rest of the map and how inaccurate it looks with all of the fuel pulled up top. Anyways, I have the AFM part of the setup so I will be clearing the slip on map and starting from scratch. This seems much safer for my engine at this point.

I'm gonna give Bazzaz a holler tomorrow and try to get them to either take that map down or post something more accurate.

David

Yes. This map was from their website without change. Anyone that knows a bit about tuning and A/F Ratios knows that 20% fuel at idle is not needed.

From what my tuner has told me 13 A/f is a bit higher then you want to be running.
He gets everything down between 10-12 A/F ratio and then fine tunes it depending on the bikes input.

That being said on cold mornings my bike will sputter/miss and run like ass till she is warmed up.

Once you get your AFM all setup you'll get a better map then any of us on her though :)

Here's a comparison of the Bazzaz map and my self-mapped one for 13.1 AFR with stock filter with the paper element removed (lots more air flow), pump gas, stock exhaust with a hole punched through the muffler baffle. It was mapped on an average summer day.

It runs well enough. Keeps up with more modded bike running race fuel. Though lately I'm thinking it's not as crisp as a think it could be in the mid-range while pulling out of slower turns.
