pc3 600rr to 1000rr help!

ive installed a pc3 from a 03 600rr to a 06 1000rr.everything connected properly.im stumped how to transfer a 1000 map to the 600 pc3.ive seen it done before so i know it will work.when i try to send map it says the map code for 1000 is 156 and 600 is a 138(incompatible).ive read you have to send it as a table instead of a map? how is that done? thanks

They are not compatible, so unfortunately, there is no way to "Transfer" or "Convert" a map file.

I don't see how this is possible....

if you can do this why wouldn't they just sell 1 pc3 for honda?

You better hope that the signals the bike is sending as RPM is the same signal that the 1000RR sends. Otherwise, all you did was give it fuel amounts for RPM values that don't match. Either way, I would get it tuned to be on the safe side of things.

i talked with someone at dynojet and they said it wouldnt work at all.said pulse signals would be different which would be the wrong amount of fuel at different rpm.but i downloaded a 1000 map and rode it for about an hour.seemed fine. i set it back to the zero map for now to be safe.ill talk to a dynojet shop about a custom tune and see what they say.i had it left over from my 600 so thats why i tried it.if i cant find out for sure, ill just sell it and get a 1000 pc3.far as why they dont sell just one for a honda rr,maybe so we will have to buy one for each bike.makes them more money?to me they contain the same hardware(same last 3 digit number on side),the map is the software which tells it what to do far as pulse signal time?im probably wrong though

Guess we all sit back and see what happens.

But, as we said above, they are NOT compatible. And if the Manufacturer says no... odds are...

Well, you know. :icon_stud
