heat shield..?

Hey just got me a yoshi slip on... thanks to member cbrRedRag..

read online that it comes with this foil with adhesive back that works like a heat shield.. is that really needed?.. will my plastic melt?..

oh yeah anyone out there got a bracket that holds the cannister for the yoshi rs-5...? dont throw just donate...to me.. Thanks

i got the carbon fiber cs5 and i still put the heat shield on the plastics. but i dotn think it is that serious, put it this way whats the hard in putting the heat tape on the bike? no one is gonna see it so might as well

no need for the heat tape.....as far as parts for the rs5 go to youshis web site...they sell anything ya need for there exhaust systems.
