Arrow headers (they fit like 99.9% of slip-ons out there)

check the GB section and some our vendors for it.

Can you really find just the header without buying the full system?!?!
Their's is only one compny that I know that makes header that will work with the stock location of the mid-pipe connection. which is the same on all slip-on and stocker.
.

With Full system, most if not all system header are not compatible with slipon.

Why?

Full system pipe routing will differ for the stock pipe routing.
All slip on uses the STock pipe routing

If you can find a header that line up with the stocker exhust then an slip on will work.

If you want the jardine, go with sideroadslayer

For the headers check with Disco (Cycle Sector)

Both vendors are great people and I've had good experiences with them.
PM both of them so they can get you good deals.

i went with jardine because arrow is hard to find for a good price.

no experience with micron so im not sure of the pipe specs, meaning i dont know if it will work with a standard slip on

good luck with whatever choice you make

yeah, sounds really nice. performance wise, i lost some low end but once i got the right map it wasnt too bad. it pulls really hard about 6.5k rpm and up, pretty much just beefed up the powerband.

my mods are.... jardine/arrow system, pcIII, DIY Velocity stacks, removed PAIR valve and airbox baffles, bmc race filter, hrc head gasket, hrc quick action throttle, renthal/DID 15-45 520 conversion ...that's about it for go fast mods

its a valve that takes fresh air from the airbox and releases it in the engine by the headers during decel (that popping you hear when engine breaking), i think its enviromental/EPA stuff. the baffles are noise reducing, just more sound and emissions stuff (not needed).

heres the link to the how to: http://cbrworld.net/forums/thread/248171.aspx

and here's a picture of a removed PAIR valve/reeds and baffles

since i was already deep in there, i removed/blocked off the PAIR, did the DIY velocity stacks, added BMC filter, switch throttle cables for HRC QAT, and installed pcIII.

to answer your Q, im not sure if the removal of the PAIR itself did anything other than stop that annoying popping. but i did it to free up space in the engine cavity and because it needs to clamped/blocked off in order to get a accurate tune on the dyno anyways.

ALSO the link u sent me to to remove the PAIR i read the post that some guy posted it says:

"While your in their, wouldn't it be better for performance, to go ahead and do the Klean air mod??

I did to my f4i, as well as my friends 600rr for more low end torque, and so I wouldn't have to worry about hydrolocking my motor when I lay it down..

Simply re-route the crankcase breather, to a T-line, that feeds to the pair valve.. That way crankcase gas goes to the exhaust, instead of the intake, increasing low end torque"

What is this guy talking about? Whats the Klean air Mod?

next time you ride, when coming to a stop....try to engine break, you should hear popping ( PAIR releasing air into engine) coming from your exhaust.

i didnt really notice it until i actually was listening for it....

it needs to be clamped in order to have an accurate air/fuel ratio which is what your paying for when getting a custom map created for your bike.
