Two Brothers Carbon fiber and Heat Shield

Hi,

I just installed the a 2 brothers carbon fiber slipon and the manual that came with it said i should install back the OEM heat shield. Is it ok if i just remove the Heat shield , just the one that was attached to the stock exhaust? Won't it melt the rear seat?

I plan to remove the rear fender and leaving the heat shield in looks ugly without the rear fender.

My bike is an 07 btw

TIA

Or you can do what I did. I trim my heat shield around my exhaust. You can't even tell it's there.

That photo of Two Brothers Exhaust convinced me to go with Two brothers than Jardine Rt1! Very clean and nice. What color was your brake light? Clear or red? I'm trying to decide which one to go with for Graffiti bike

It's clear when it's off. I bought my intergrated tail light from tripage they also sell smoke lens tail light as well. For the Graffiti I would go with smoke it would look hot.
