bad to have an overly tight throttle pull cable?

Im adjusting thr push and pull throttle cables on mu motion pro revolver kit.

What are the downsides of having and overly tight pull cable.

I know3 having a tight push cable can lead to unwanted open throttle situations

There should be play in the throttle cables, as well as when you turn the bars side to side.

Downside?

Full tension on anything all the time will initiate premature wear and eventual failure.
In this case, snapping the cable at the weakest point.
