Exhaust Swap Question

I have a 2003 600RR custom streetfighter build. I have a Two Brothers undertail exhaust I want to remove and put a side exhaust on. Been looking at the Jardine GP1 exhaust but don't have the model for the RR. Is it possible to put on a GSXR Jardine exhaust on my RR without doing any damage to the engine?

I Am Not An Engine/Airflow Expert, but one of the main things is keeping roughly the same length of piping in the exhaust route. Shortening the midpipe too much changes the backpressure profile and you start to lose power, and I'm not sure about exhaust gas temps but they probably change as well.

Some side exhausts, like ones for the newer 1000RR, have a figure 8 bend in them to lengthen the routing. That may be the way to go.
