Full Exhaust no Servo?

I am installing a full exhaust system (LV) on my track 07 600rr. We took the servo out, and I heard that this will bring up the FI light. Does the FI light actually put the bike in limp mode or is it just a warning? I might eventually put the bypass DIY, but for this race weekend, I would just like to run as is with out servo.

Does the FI light put the bike in limp mode?
