Question For those who have painted their Exhaust Black .

I'm thinking of painting my pipe and headers.
I'm looking to see how those of dot net have gotten on with it?
How it held up?
Did it flake?
Did the color change?
And if possible pictures and how long you have had it done.
Thanks.

My simple build.

Did it to my stock exhaust. Has held up great. You can see how it turned out in my build. Should be first page.

Thanks man. what paint and primer did you use? You didn't do headers do you? Want to see if it'll chip from the front wheel and stone chips.

Look into por15 they make a few different types of exhaust coating. I've never used it but there rust proof paint and undercoating is serious stuff and takes very little prep work. DEP makes a high temp spray coating that's supposed to be pretty good too. Manufactuers usually use ceramic coating but you would have to send your exhaust out to have that done.

Think it's called vht. The highest temp they had, and it worked great. No primer, just scratched it up a bit for the paint to hold.
