Fi differences between 06' & 07'?

Was looking to pick up a wrecked 06' 600RR on the cheap and a coworker told me to hold off till I could snag a 07' because it had a far more superior fuel delivery system than the 06' and previous models. I was looking around and all i was able to find was the WIKI page that does show a difference as followes
03'-06': Dual Stage Fuel Injection (DSFI)
07'-11': Dual Stage Fuel Injection (DSFI) with 40 mm (1.6 in) throttle bodies, Denso 12-hole injectors
is that a significant difference? was just gonna buy it to be a project really

thanks in advance

the 07 was a totally different beast to the 06. Engine, chassis, exhaust - the lot. the FI is different but that isn't really relevant.

As in the motor, all I see between the 06 and 07 is a gain of 1 HP
at the cost of running a 12.9:1 CR to gain it with less torque. Maybe I'm missing something

can't help that. suggest you do some more research. the 07 engine was totally new. was redesigned to reduce weight, along with the chassis.

why is a higher compression ratio a "cost"?

I see, the 07 is a totally different beast and totally new.....
The FI differences are relivent, as that would be the answer to the question I asked
Now if I could have someone chime in with the answer to my question about the differences between the 06 & 07 EFI system
Thanks
