From D&D to Yoshi Carbon

One really bad run-in with the cops and i've decided i'm not stopping for those A** hats again.

So needless to say my Carbon D&D is not the most stealth of exhausts to have on when your trying to not gain alot of attention :) So I've ordered a Yoshi Carbon with Carbon tips to replace my trusty D&D with and have a couple of questions.

I've heard that the Yoshi screams at high rpm? Screams? Is that the right word?
Has anyone heard a 2bros and Yoshi is the Yoshi quieter? *I hope*
Do the guys running a yoshi carbon put the under tail heat sheild on?
Anyone have pictures of a yoshi Carbon on a 04 red/black.

Thanks.

WOW! Selling the D&D for a Yoshi... Why not trade in the RR and get a GSXR.

The 2006 GSXR750 is really nice! :)

Seriously though. Don't you get way more attention that you actually want sometimes with the D&D? I hate police!

Have you heard a yoshi compaired to the D&D?

I'd be interested in a cool looking pipe that's
really quiet. I'd rather be stealthy than loud.
I have an Akropovic that I think is a mite too loud for
my tastes. Could go back to stock but the Carbon
Akro look is way too cool.

Can I re-pack the Akro pipe to make it quieter?
Whats the quietest cool looking pipe?

I know this must sound crazy to alot of you folks
that spend all your bucks to get it louder. But so it goes.

I have the two bros and my cousin has a yosh, and listening side by side its obvious the yosh is quieter than the two bros.

There is no way in hell I would sell my D&D, I love it. Infact the only other exhuast I would rather have is the Arrow MotoGP full exhuast.

Jason

PS: Any sportbike aftermarket exhaust is going to grab attension, there all loud.

...or you could be "that guy" who has the same exhaust as everyone else, Yoshi.

Personally I think the Yoshi is the ugliest looking exhaust for our bikes. If you don't want the D&D, get Arata or something.

Honestly and I am not just saying this, I get tons of compliments on my exhaust.

Jason

PS: Just remember this, in the end you have to live with it so just buy what YOU like best and not what everyone else things you should have.

gorrie16: Thanks you made my day. I ride with a guy that has a 2bros so i'm very familiar with that sound. Were they both RR that you and your cousin had?

Seriously though I think my D&D sounds so hot and is super nice looking and match's the lines on my bike very well but that thing is seriously so loud i have to shut it off at lights sometimes to hear a buddy beside me :(

The bigger thing for me is the whole Cop thing, I've always been very respectful of the law but resently had a run in with the cops (in my truck) where I was so pissed off with how they handled a situation (long story short old ticket that was cleared yet i spent 10 hours in jail!) that i have it in my head i'm never stopping for a cop on my bike unless I think they may have my plate.

SIDE NOTE: anyone have any electronic toys that will pull the plate up with a push of a button. Like a cylinode or something......

All I can say is D&D pipe are sick loud not a good way.... If you get one most people won't want to ride with you because that pipe will give them a head ache. Nasty loud.

And don't ever think about running from the cops they will be able to hear you a 2 miles away.

I have rode with over 100 different people and I have yet to tell me my pipe was too loud from riding behind me.

Why unearth would you ever run from the cops, nothing beats the radio.

Ok if no one has told you your d+d isnt too loud to ride behind then you must just be cruising in town...last year my friend put a d+d on his gsxr600 and that thing would just about make your ears want to bleed....some people thought it was cool which it was when your just cruisin around town but when your out in the country it just gets annoying, even for the rider, he just switched up to a yosh full system with the carbon pipe, and he loves it.. and so do the rest of the people who ride with him...maybe it was just the bike i dont know but it definately got attention from everyone including the cops...so pretty much your call.

Never had problems with mine cops or other wise because there are Harleys around here that are twice as loud in a different way (sound).

I have only had good remarks about it look and sound from friends and others.

Guess I have good luck or people who talk behind my back. ;)

I call on that one. I have ridden on and ridden behind bikes with D&D's and its just plain annoying. I think maybe you just have a quiet D&D compared to what I have heard or maybe you’re deaf. Either way if you haven't heard anybody tell you its too loud than they don’t want to hurt your feelings or you just cant hear it because you’re deaf from the D&D.

All and All I guess it is preference. I can’t for the life of me figure out those Harley riders either. I must be me. I like the sound of a good pipe but I don't want 140db ringing in my ears going down the highway. But I must be the odd one of the group. just my op.
